Some of you may know my father as Old Croney. He was diagnosed with Cancer friday and will no longer be partcipating in the forums. He is 72 years old and he has been very fortunate Lung and throat Cancer had not got him before now. This goes to show you our hobby can have a serious outcome. He is in Hospice care and has less than 6 months. He wants everyone to know he enjoyed reading all the posts, even though he was not very good at typing and participating. He urges everyone to be careful. After 2 wars and a lifetime of enjoying cigars, he is ready to let go and let God.

you and your father will be in my prayers
from what little i have read, you and your father are both gentlemen in the truest sense of the word.
and anyone going through 2 wars has my eternal gratitude. thank you, old croney, for your service and your sacrifice...
God bless you and your loved ones

Thanks Old Croney for all that you have done for this country, and thank you again for finding a home and bond with all of us here on the forums. We enjoyed having you here. God Bless sir.

I'm so sorry to hear this. May the good LORD bless your dad and family at this time. My prayers are with you and yours at this time Old Croney. GOD bless.
My condolences Fredriko. I was shocked when I read this. May it be easy on him and with no pain in his last days. My salutes and prayers are for him and you.

Fredrico I am also very sad to hear about your father. My father is still around and I know how hard this must be on you and your family. Fathers are great and we should enjoy them while they are here because one never knows what the lord has in store for us. My prayers are with Old Croney, you Fredrico, and your family.
