okay so we had some trouble getting started with the last. that won't hapen with this one. i'm going to lay down a bunch of rules. if you don't like them, too bad. deal with it. i will not break them. there will be a lot of money in this pass and all of it starts with MY POCKET. if you don't like it whine elsewhere. not in my thread.

Okay folks, Seems theres been a pattern of some folks getting in on boxpasses & PIF's that dont seem to have a wristwatch or calendar. You know the type, the guy gets the box & sits on it for a week or two? Forgets to get a delivery confirmation? Dosent get insurance on the contents? Many of those who have participated in passes over the years knows it happens more than it should. I know....life shows up. Many times it can be less of an issue if some simple rules are set up prior to announcing the start of a pass.

Heres an idea to minimize the slackers & the lazy ones in your future passes.

Make sure everyone knows all your rules prior to the pass starting.

State that to be involved in your pass you must agree to the following:
1) Once the package is received, you have 3 days to mail it back out.
2) Once mailed, you must post the shipped date & delivery confirmation number if shipped USPS, or tracking number if shipped via courier (ie: UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc) for all to see.
3) Insure the box for an approx. replacement value of its contents!
4) If you hold the box past 3 days you will be known as a slacker and put on my s h i t list of bad tradees. It will also be known to others thinking of allowing this guy in on their future passes.

If you're thinking about getting in on a boxpass, make sure you know what the deal is.
Dont get involved if your time is very limited.
Dont get involved if you are always out of town on business.
Dont get involved if you have a 4 week vacation planned during the pass.
Dont get involved in a top notch pass if you only have lower notch cigars.
Dont take 5 Havana Churchills & put in 6 Padron 2000's & thinks its okay.
Dont get involved if a "must insure" rule is in place & you cant afford to insure it.

this pass will be an ultra premium pass. YOU CANNOT TAKE CC's AND REPLACE THEM WITH NC's. if you are taking something very rare you must replace it with something rare.

the package will be sent out in a tupperware container with a humidificaton source. make sure this box stays humidifed and in a cool area (not your 100 degree garage).

i will start the pass off with 15-20 ultra premium cigars, it will be a mix of NC and CC. all of which are top shelf. if you do not know what top shelf means then it's a good idea to ask here before joining the group.

you must post your TAKES AND PUTS. at the end of the pass the box comes back to me. if all goes well we might do another one.

any questions post them here. i will give it a week from monday to get in on this.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AT LEAST 2 PAY IT FORWARDS UNDER YOUR BELT YOU ARE NOT WELCOME ON THIS PASS. i don't care who can vouch for you, it's not going to happen with almost 200-400$ worth of cigars floating around. if i don't feel comfortable with you then you are not allowed at all.

yes i'm a hard ass but i want this done right.

I'm most definitely in.

Jay, do you think one should post what their puts/takes are and get approved by you before they ship it out again?

I'm going to be in vegas until october 5th on business.

I'm in if you can put me lower on the list, and/or the box pass does not start until that time.

Let me know......

p.s. - In one box pass I was in, we did post the takes and puts and everyone agreed or disagreed before the box was shipped out again.

After waiting as the first one on the old list I would love to be in but I have not completed two PIF's. Jay let me know if this excludes me. If so, shoot me an email so we can chat about it.

I would love to be in on this one, but I may be switching jobs and may have to travel for training, so I will sit this one out.

Jay I know you are a stickler for the rules but burnham is a good guy. I have no vested interest as I am not going to ask to take this pass international. That being said I completed a TOP NOTCH trade with Burnham and would vouch for him regardless of the rules.
