If this is not the right forum for this, let me apologize up front so as not to aggrivate some of the more experienced smokers.
I am new to cigar smoking and while I've had the pleasure of smoking some Davidoff's (clasic and Millenium Series), I can't afford to smoke them on an everyday basis. I'd like some recommedations on a decent everyday cigar that won't kill my wallet...say around the $5-$8 range.
Any adivce would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Pete

Thanks for the tip! I do enjoy the mild-to-medium cigars more than the full flavored ones. I guess I'll have to let my palate work up to them. I don't know the difference between the wrappers yet (Conn vs others), but that's all part of the learning. I'll be sure to ask the person at the B&M store or buy some online.

You might want to try Griffin's cigars. They are mild to medium, Connecticut shade wrapper Dominican cigar. They are also produced by Davidoff. If you buy online, you can get them from around $5-$6.
Thanks for all the suggestions!!! When I go for my next batch, I am definatly going to be picking up some of the suggestions that I haven't tried yet. Hopefully I can get them into my humidor without my wife seeing them!

Well if you enjoyed the Davidoffs (lucky you!) you can try Zino, Private Stock or Macanudo. Zino is Davidoff's second line, and Private Stocks are made in the same factory as Davidoffs and Griffin's. They are your 'bundle' version of Davidoffs/Zino, except they call them 'ungraded cigars' not bundles. PS will set you back around 2 -3 bucks a stick.
I think Macas have a similiar taste/smell profile as Zino - mild, very good aroma and light in the mouth.

Thanks! I actualy have a few of the Zino's...I forget the types off the top of my head, but I think they are the Premium Select and the Relax Brazil. The Premiums (red cig band) are a very nice smoke. The RB (no band, black cello wrapper), wasn't as pronounced...very light taste at first, but then got more earthy with a taste of pepper. It was also a very moist cigar.
Haven't tried the Private Stock and I have a couple of Macanudo's in the humi...looking foward to trying them.
