Your welcome thomas. I'm glad you liked the selection. That punch rare corojo in the coffin is the new "doble" size. you may want to let it rest for a couple of months before you smoke it. I have a few DC'c, and I found that they got much better as the months went by. same goes for the LFD maduro. Smile

i can attest to that, LFD's with a little bit of age are wonderful!

People aren't smoking cigars to be trendy, cool or stylish. They're smoking cigars because they like them. Because they enjoy the experience. Because for about $5 they can spend an hour sampling one of life's greatest luxuries.

one more thing. the masterpiece that you gave me is about 3/4 of an inch bigger than the maduro classics that I have. but it's much smaller that the maduro masterpiece that I already have. can you explain this? is the one that you gave me a new size?

Hey TPSO and CSmith, I just checked mine and they are 7.5 by about 50 or 52. I thought they were Masterpieces, but I dug a natural out of the coolerdor and sure enough they are 9 x 52. Now I don't know what I sent you, anyone know? It's a Maduro Hemingway between the Classic and Masterpiece in size.

Also the tobacco in the BinDer Blend is from last years crop so it is less than a year old. It was picked late last summer, early fall, cured over the winter and rolled earlier this year, say February or March. They taste a little young, but not bad, IMHO.

Woot! Got my package today!

Smokum hooked me up with;

Hemingway Signature
Oliva Masterblend Churchill
PAM Exclusivo
Fuente DC #2
Padron (Belicoso???)
Carlos Exodus (Big Belicoso???)

Thanks Smokum! I love 'em all. I have some Torano Sigs and enjoy the Exodus but never seem to pick up a box, usually buy a few in singles. How did you know I had run out? Ditto on the PAM. I can never get my hands on a whole box, either due to distribution or price, so I'm constantly scrounging for a handful here or there, that was another great treat. And I smoked my last Master Blend Churchill a month or so ago and didn't think I'd ever see anymore! All the other cigars are great too; all of 'em are on my favs list! Thank you again.

Did you guys notice that we all banter about which cigars are best, but when it comes to putting our reps on the line and sharing with friends, so many of us go with Padron, Fuente, Cubans and Torano?

This was a great RATS guys. I hope everyone enjoyed it and I'll be sure to holler when we get ready to do it again.

Best Sellers are just a little bigger than Short Stories. I can't recall what these are, I'm sure someone will figure it out!

You hit the nail on the head with that statement Binder - The best comes out in all of us when dealing with community. Smile

Also once again many thanks for having me along on this RATS3 and hope you can include me in the next one. Good Smoking to all.. Big Grin

"Untold Story!" How could I have forgotten that? I almost said "Neverending Story" when TPSO first asked, but then I remembered that was an 80's movie. Well mystery solved!

Smokum, thanks for the clarification on the ID's. I always get my Fuente's mixed up. Without the box info. or the Holt's catalog handy, I'm useless, as evidenced by the above Hemingway debacle.

I'm eyeing up the 6000K maddy and I've decided to re-explore Padron's as a whole. I'll admit, I've only been smoking the PAM's and PAN's lately. I went through a stage where I felt regular Padron's were overpriced and would buy other cigars instead. I'll have to reevaluate that line of thought!

Untold Stories are not even on the Holts site. Had to go to Perelman's Pocket Cyclopedia of Cigars.

Yeah, the Untold Stories are released at X-Mas and possibly June. I've always found them at X-Mas time, so I can't say for sure they are available at June.

I'm telling everyone who lives within an hour or so of Philly, you HAVE to stop in at Holt's. Especially if you can't find limited release Fuente's, Opus or PAM/PAN's at your local stores. Bring friends/GF's who don't smoke to circumnavigate the limits. While they might not have every size of the limited stuff, they will have some and I guarantee they will have more then you can afford or buy due to limits.

Theoretically you could buy two VSG samplers, 2 single VSG's, 2 VSG Heritage Sol's, 2 Opus, 2 Hemingways,
