Gentlemen,

Summer is here and I don't have the time to invest in a box pass; the prep, the tracking, etc. I'm going to start Ring Around the Stogies III for some quick cigar trading fun. The first two were great and I hope this one will be even better. In honor of Live 8 I'm going to up the total participants to 8. That's 7 plus me.

It's the relatively quick turnaround of a PIF but with the feel of a box pass. Here it is:

Ring Around the Stogies III!

First 7 Players who respond to this are in, plus me.

I'll take all the names and put them in a hat.

I will have an impartial observer (my GF or dog) pull the names from the hat.

First one pulled sends 5 cigars to the second name pulled, second sends five to the third guy pulled and so on. Last guy pulled sends 5 cigars to the first guy.

I'll have my GF e-mail the names to keep it annonymous, like a Secret Santa, until the packages arrive. I won't even know who has who!

You should have cigars on hand and be prepared to send your package within 5 days from when we get enough players.

Usual pass protocols in effect:
Players should be "known" a bit on the board. say a couple of hundred posts and previous PIF or trade participation. Other than that anything goes. Send what you can afford, sort of like a PIF. Hopefully the karma will be good all around as this is a pretty good group to trade with.

Who wants to play Ring Around the Stogies III?

People aren't smoking cigars to be trendy, cool or stylish. They're smoking cigars because they like them. Because they enjoy the experience. Because for about $5 they can spend an hour sampling one of life's greatest luxuries.

Ok, that's 8, but CSmithNJ, if you still want in, send me your snailer! There's always room for one more Jersey boy!

Everyone make sure you send me your addy. I'll enlist the help of my lovely and talented GF to select names and you should all receive your name tomorrow. Oh one more thing make sure you include your CA screen name with your addy. It will help keep it all straight. I write everyone's screen name, email and address on a slip of paper and she draws them and notifies everyone.

Can't wait to drop my package in the mail. Some lucky (?) person is going to get 5 cigars AND a BinDer Specially Selected Handrolled.

TPSO you don't have an Iguana within 1000 yards of your stash. I bet there are signs hanging all over the neighborhood that say "Iguana Free Zone." That collection of yours is premo and legendary, whoever gets you is one lucky summabitch, I know from experience!
