The Ring Around The Stogies series has been a great success and I think it's time to embark on another one!
Summer is here and most people don't have the time to invest in a box pass; the prep, the tracking, etc. I'm going to start Ring Around the Stogies IV for some quick cigar trading fun. The first three were great and I hope this one will be even better.
It's the relatively quick turnaround of a PIF but with the feel of a box pass. Here it is:
Ring Around the Stogies III!
It originally started out with 4 plus me for 5 participants total. The last one was 7 plus me for 8 participants total in honor of Live 8 which was going on that week.
For the first time ever in the long and distinguished history of the R.A.T.S., it will open to 10 participants; me and the first 9 to respond to this post.
I'll take all the names and put them in a hat.
I will have an impartial observer (my GF or dog) pull the names from the hat.
First one pulled sends 5 cigars to the second name pulled, second sends five to the third guy pulled and so on. Last guy pulled sends 5 cigars to the first guy.
I'll have my GF e-mail the names to keep it annonymous, like a Secret Santa, until the packages arrive. I won't even know who has who!
You should have cigars on hand and be prepared to send your package within 5 days from when we get enough players.
Usual pass protocols in effect: Players should be "known" a bit on the board. say a couple of hundred posts and previous PIF or trade participation. Other than that anything goes. Send what you can afford, sort of like a PIF. Hopefully the karma will be good all around as this is a pretty good group to trade with.

Nothing personal Abbott, but I prefer more experienced people in the trade. I'll tell you what, if you can get someone on the site with some history to vouch for you, you're in.

And given the overwhelming support for E. Abbott, he can be the tenth. I hope he isn't offended, I was just protecting the group. He's a fairly new member and I have been away much of the summer and wasn't aware of his involvemnet in all the bombs and passes.
