I'm certain that I smoked this very same cigar in the last few weeks. So I will guess La Aurora 100 Anos.

I won't be able to confirm until I smoke the second one and open the envelope. So stay tuned...

You're in the neighborhood, or at least the same zip code... Smile

Lol, he tried some of the La Aurora 100 Anos Belicoso? Piramide? I had a couple weeks ago.

I smoked mt cigar from cyrann today after classes, it looked to be about 5.5 x 50ish ring gauge, i did notice a triple cap so my first impression was a tatuaje of some sort. Looking at the wrapper shade it looked to be a Havana 6 of some sort. Wrapper was smooth and oily with a few small veins and carried a little barnyard smell. After cutting the cap i noticed a very smooth draw with some light almost cedary flavors.
1/3 the cigar started off pretty light, on the lighter side of medium bodied with some earthy and toasty flavors. a little lighter than i like but still very pleasant. A sweet tobacco taste showed up after a half inch. Nice tight white/light gray ash as well
2/3 the transition into the second third came with a blast of spice but quickly subsided into a much richer smoke with a some nutty/cocoa undertones. got a little stronger in body medium to medium full. i had a few burn problems in this section but nothing my lighter couldnt fix
3/3 flavors seemed much the same maybe got a little more pronounced, maybe a little more cedar taste

Overall i liked it, not something i would go out and buy a box of but i would definitely slip a 5er into my rotation. 86/100 good smoke but not great

final guess: Tat havana 6 hermosas or zona del east

thanks a bunch,
so what was it cyrann?

Alright, just smoked my cigar from Thaterp...really great looking cigar, very smooth wrapper, shiny...bear with me here, it's my first ever review

Pre-light: smelled great (can't really separate the flavors)

I used a punch and the draw was really loose, too loose for me-almost no resistance
Almost herbal pre-light draw

1st 3rd-burn was a little off, started off slow, a mild body

2nd- picked up a little bit with the flavor, i picked up some earthtones with something subtle underlying, medium bodied

3rd- mellowed out, very smooth cigar, tastes like it has good age on it, earthtones all the way through, flavor has picked up a lot, still medium body

I had some burn issues with it...burning even constantly, as soon as it would correct itself it would burn uneven again, but i attribute this to the wind outside, it really picked up and was blowing a storm in.

I don't think I would put this in my everyday rotation but i give it an 84....

Overall very smooth and earthy, burn was slow, smelled GREAT

Guess: Torano Cameroon 1916??

Actual...WAY OFF: HdM Epicure Maduro

Thanks for the stick Thaterp!!

Scroggers was kind enough to send two cigars along with a small mission. I had to guess if they were either cuban or non.
I had the oppurtunity to smoke one today. The sun peaked out for about an hour and a half.

One cigar was a belicoso shape, the other a pyramid.
I smoked the beli. The cigar was really great. Very smooth but full of a lot of strong flavor. Vanilla coffee at the start and espresso all the way through.
This was definately a cuban based on the thin wrapper and flavor profile. The unique shape only leaves me concluding it was a Bolivar Beli Finos?

I got yours on Friday Ozz. I have no clue what it is other than it looks non Cuban due to the lack of a triple cap. Real light wrapper color about the only thing I have with that color is the Playboy cigar, but that's a little longer. Will smoke tonight or tomorrow and post the results...

Just finished my smoke from Ozz. I could tell it was non Cuban due to the lack of a triple cap. Cigar was a robusto or robusto extra somewhere in the 5-5.5 x 48-52 range? not exactly sure.

Had a beautiful light brown wrapper, was very well made, burned perfectly with ash that was about the color of fresh concrete. Ash held on a good 2 inches. Fairly easy draw, but not too loose. It had a complex flavor, with subtle hints of cream, butter, and nuts, but had a dominating woody taste throughout. Overall, this was a good cigar, I have no real guess as to what it may be because it tastes like nothing I've ever smoked, except the last 1/3 tasted similar to the Trinidad Ingenios I had, however, this is not a CC, so I opened the envelope and saw that it was a

AVO Signature.

Honestly, I've never even seen one of these before. A pretty good smoke. I'd give it an 88/100.

It was an Illusione CG4. I know I talked a stick up in our emails, but I didn't get them in time.

Oh well, I still had fun with the pass.

Thanks for putting it on.

unless i missed it, i don't think scroggers has posted his review yet in here...and to be honest, i forgot what i sent him, lol...i'm game to do a second one, if it's a consensus then i think we should write out number 1-11 on 11 different pieces of paper then toss them into a hat and then draw numbers out 1 by 1... and then the number would correspond with the name in the original post and make the list that way...

EXAMPLE:
-draw the first number out of the hat and it's #7, that would mean CrazyPoet would be first on the list....

thaterp: or i could initiate this one so you could get in on the suspense of it all...here's how it could work:

Each of you all email me your mailing addresses (with your username as the subject line) then i'll draw the order, and email you individually with who you need to ship it to, but you will not know who is shipping to you...i just need everybody's verification and we can get this started
