The best place to check for permits is with your local Chamber of Commerce. Most states do require licenses for selling tobacco. You'll have to check with your state for the process / waiting period. Another good source is to hire a business attorney who can take care of all the paperwork for you and advise you as to what you will need to get everything up and running. As far as a supplier goes, the easiest way is to contact a manufacturer directly, let them know you are interested in opening a shop and ask them to put you in contact with their distributer in your area. I hope this helps....good luck!

Mom: "Twenty dollars for a cigar?!?! Why don't you just set fire to a $20 bill?"
Response: "Get a $20 bill to taste like a Davidoff and I'll light my entire paycheck on fire!"

1. Not sure why this is in Cigar Trading. Better to post it in Cigar Talk. This question has been asked a couple of times. 3. Get a lawyer familiar with your local ordinances. Join the RTDA. Look on this forum and other forums for members that have stores. 2. Not sure I would open a cigar store at this time given all the tax talk.
