after thinking about this for about 3 seconds, i came up with this: how about at the end of every month, we start a bday thread for the next month. anyone wanting to let us know its their bday can post the day. the age if you think its relevant. i.e. 21, 100, etc. that will give planning time for those with bdays that fall early in the month if theres someone on the list you want to hook up with some smokes, you can find someone they traded with or were involved in a pif and get their address that way if you want to be a sniper. the element of surprise is a great weapon. and acting alone makes it more personal. or if someone wanted to spearhead the gift, post in the thread that they are coordinating a gift pack for someone and they could have all sticks (with inventory) sent to them from all participants, and then launch one bomb to arrive on or around the targets bday. to offset cost for he who ships the package, everyone sending to the coordinator can drop a buck in the box with the sticks they gift, or include a gift stick for the sender if they dont want to send cash through the mail. for example... If someone wants to be responsible for passing out the birthday boy's (or girl's) address, they should post and the birthday person can e-mail it to them. Everyone else who wants it will e-mail that one person. By posting your birthday, you are consenting to people handing over your address to whomever asks for it. |

By posting your birthday, you are consenting to people handing over your address to whomever asks for it.[/QUOTE] there are some vets and some not so new folks on here who have been around for a while, (post count irrelevant), that have made friends and have a great reputation on the board that will send and receive amazing bday bombs. and there are some newer people that havent networked, pif'd, traded, or boxpassed enough to have a more widespread rep. point is, if its someone you like enough to send them a bomb, chances are plenty of others do too... and if its someone that been around a while, SOMEONE has their mailing address. since most peoples email addresses are in their profile, we are easy to get a hold of to work out details. if its a personal bday / thank you bomb for them sending you a great pif or demolishing your wishlist, they have sent to you already and you should have the address. we love to do homework for pifs when trying to figure out what to send, we can play sherlock holmes and find out who they traded with and grab an address off them. if its unavailable, i will just email the person and ask. if you post your bday and you get no care packages... dont feel bad, im sure there will be bday wishes a plenty even if you get no sticks. if you guys want me to run with the ball on this one, like doc does with the daily smoke... let me know. i will post the october bday thread in a week or so.
