Ok, I wanted something with the relatively quick turnaround of a PIF but with the feel of a box pass. Here it is:
Ring Around the Stogies!
First 4 Players who respond to this are in, plus me.
I'll take all the names and put them in a hat.
I will have an impartial observer (my GF or dog) pull the names from the hat.
First one pulled sends 5 cigars to the second name pulled, second sends five to the third guy pulled and so on. Last guy pulled sends 5 cigars to the first guy.
Once the names are pulled I'll list the names in order. Or if the majority of players prefers we can keep it annonymous, like a Secret Santa until the packages arrive.
You should have cigars on hand and be prepared to send your package within 5 days from when we get enough players.
Usual pass protocols in effect: Players should be "known" a bit on the board. say a couple of hundred posts and previous PIF or trade participation. Other than that anything goes. Send what you can afford, sort of like a PIF. Hopefully the karma will be good all around as this is a pretty good group to trade with.
Can I be a fifth? I'll be last... I have some good things to contribute... I work for a cigar company so I feel I should be trustworthy, you'd have all my info.... Can I join?
Did you read the part about about having some posts under your belt, being around here a while and/or participating in a PIF? Heck none of you have been here longer than 5 months! I'm not doubting your character personally, but as the organizer of the pass I feel obliged to protect the other participants.
The only three of you I feel comfortable letting in are Sirpbkeelo, Ren and Dbaranska.
Sir has at least PIF'd a couple of times before, has no complaints againts him, has over 100 posts and lives close to me. I know he won't stiff anyone because he doesn't want a 6'6" 265lb BinDerSmokDat on his front step.
Ren has sent cigars out blind before to get a review of his personal blend and has participated in a pass with no marks against him. He's in.
DBaranksa has PIF'd before. With no marks against him. Thin, but he's in!

Send me your snailer at the above...We are still waiting on Ren...when he gets back to me I'll draw names and since the majority want this to be a secret, I'll email you with your "ring" counterpart...I'm even toying with the idea of letting my GF email everyone, this way I will be surprised too.
Remember it will be 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4, 4 to 5 and 5 to 1.
