I'm pondering options here...

To be clear, since I didn't say so earlier, this was an UPS ground package, not USPS. Does that change anything?

No representation without taxation.
You can have progressive, or you can have fair. Not both.

That is a correct assessment Johnnie.

Thelastbill needs to ask the question.

I've been eligible to mooch since Saturday, but no one has asked.

Yep - he hasn't posted anything since the 14th. I just sent him a courtesy e-mail.

Whether you send your package out or not has nothing to do with him asking the question. They are 2 separate issues. I personally would want you to wait as I am sure when you get the package from CI, you will have more options. That is between the 2 people in the PIF.

It is then the biggest mooches job to ask the question for another person to answer. Its a lot of fun if people hold up their end of the bargain. Please make sure to understand the game before participating.

Matt

I agree with Matt. This is a lot of fun when everyone participates as they should. If someone decided to just mooch and not continue, then the game can come to a grinding halt unless someone steps and offers to let someone mooch off them just so it can go on.

If I were the one mooching off you, I would prefer to wait until you got your CI order as well because then you have more choices for what to send, as Matt mentioned.

As for holding off entirely until TLB posts, I'm not sure. Let's hear from a few others on that issue.

I think Crazy Poet did the right thing by sending an email. Let's see if he responds. We can't jump to conclusions as he may have a good reason.
If he doesn't respond to Earls email in say 48 hours then I say we all move on.
It's totaly up to Wijosh if he want's to send the package or not. Personaly I wouldhold off untill we see if he responds to Earl's email. If after 48 hours with no responce Wijosh could ask again if he wishes and send a new person TLB's package.

Agreed. I have had to hold off sending some packages because I was really busy at work. I don't think we should hold off indefinitely and I agree that 2 days is enough time. If TLB doesn't respond and we choose to move on, there is nothing stopping TLB fro getting involved again when he is able.

I'll let everyone know when/if I hear from TLB.

WiJosh - I'd say to go ahead and send your package to TLB. You made the committment to send to him, so it's the right thing to do (my opinion only).

If he drops the ball, it's on him; we'll find a way to work around it as we have in the past.

I say you send him the package as you planned to. You said you would, and it's the honorable thing to do. We have a great group of guys (and girl) involved in this thing right now, and I have no doubt somebody will step up to the plate if this guy flakes...

Hell, I'll do it. If TLB doesn't show up in 48 hours, I'll ask the question.

I sent my package to my mooch (idahoser) before receiving the package floridasmoke was supposed to send to me. Like he said, he was having computer and personal issues that caused him to delay sending. I had no problem with this knowing that floridasmoke is a stand up guy and eventually he would send. Today, I received a notice from the USPS that they have a package set for delivery tomorrow from bill. So, it was a few days late arriving, big deal. This game works because it is based on the honor system, period. And what a fun game it is. I can't wait to become available to "mooch" again in a few weeks, and I can't wait to see what bill sent me, this is what makes the game fun.

This morning I went to the post office to pick up my PIF from Floridasmoke, couldn't wait for the delivery and this is what I found:

1. Oliva Serie G Perfecto
2. REO Robusto
3. La Gloria Cubana Reserva Figurado
4. La Flor Dominicana Figurado
5. Oliva Master Blend 2 Robusto
6. Gurkha Figurado
7. Cuban Crafters Robusto
8. Joya de Nicaragua Robusto
9. TeAmo Nicaraguan Blend Robusto
10.Cubao Lancero

I have never had any of these cigars, so this is going to be taste testing orgy to say the least. Had to try one immediately, the Oliva Serie G Perfecto. Was pleasantly surprised....this is a very good cigar. It looks exactly like the Short Story, and it tasted exactly like the Short Story only SPICIER, smoked it all the way to the nub, enjoying every puff along the way. If the rest of the cigars are as enjoyable as this little perfecto, then I'll be one happy camper. Thanks floridasmoke for a first time PIF.
