Rik yours will go out Monday morning. Yeah I got mine. Got Carlos Torano, Ramone Allones, a punch grand puro, and a supposed pre-embargo cuban. Not bad, but just so you know it is better to not send something that your not sure is authentic.

I'm going back to the shop tommorrow to get some more stock, I'll find out what name they sell under, as I can't remember at the moment. I was told they weren't 100% cuban tobacco, but the filler is. Binder and wrapper are not.

I do know that they won't be recieving any more as there was a limited supply. It looked as though it had good contruction and might be a solid smoke.

If you've had a cuban before, let me know how that one compares.

I'll smoke it tomorrow and let you know. I am by no means an expert on cubans as I have only had a few. But I will tell you.

Actually, Rik, if I'm following this chain right, it's now incumbent on you to formally ask, "Who's a big mooch?"

Tigerfan. Here's some more info on the cigar.

It's called Vuelta Abajo.
Vintage Cuban tobacco from a 1959 crop.
Filler- 100% cuban
binder- dominican
Wrapper-either brazilian or Dominican

some places still carry these. Seems legit, but I haven't smoked any of mine yet.

TSFoster,

Sorry, I'm only asking because you're so very new here...but you have read the rules in the first post and know how this game works, right? Just checkin'.

I had not thought to ask, being as I am pretty new here as well. But I do know the rules, and hope that you too read and understand what is expected. Just making sure, as you only have two posts.. If not, I could just send them to Scott for the catch..

I don't have any objections to TSFoster getting them so long as he knows the rules...

Yep, I read the rules carefully, and am prepared to "make good" on the PIF. A little history to help understand where I am: My best friend and brother-in-law introduced me to quality cigars over the past year. After a few good smokes and a little education, I began to appreciate the subleties between brands, etc. So, I logged on about 6 mths ago I guess and have been what the long-timers would describe as "lurking". Funny thing is at the time "tigerfan" and I just joined, there was a string of posts about "noobs" and stupid questions. There was a lengthy thread which someone said "should not post until you have read what is already here and don't ask stupid qustions and suggested not posting until 6 months after joining". I guess I did just that. And now I think I can add some value to this CA forum and hopefully meet a few online friends in the process. And, since Rik has PIF'ed its time for me to ask, "Who is a righteous mooch?"

Well, heck, since I started this thing with the first send off, I'll jump right in...

I'm a righteous mooch. Or a big mooch. I'm both kind of mooches.
