hey fellas,
What do ya'll think of a little bowl season contest?
depending on how many takers, I was thinking of creating a yahoo bowl league for this forum. to join you would only have to have or create a yahoo id (not hard at all).
However, we would be playing for something. everyone who joins would send me two good cigars, then when the bowl season is over, the winner or top three would each take home the loot.
I will make a much more definitive and clear list of rules if this really takes off.
right now i just wanted to gage your interest and see who is in, I think there needs to be atleast 5 for this to work, but the more the better.
Any takers?

I'm more of a hockey fan than football, but I'm interested. If it goes well, maybe we could do it again for the Stanley Cup.

Count me in- although I am sure I will not win- Last year in my office the bowl pool was won by a secretary that picked her winners by which team had more red in their uniforms!!!!

PS- I think prizes for top three works better than winner take all- just my opinion...

I'm not a fanatic, but I'll play.

P.S. Hdj - I've got to find you a better pic of the arches for your avatar. Yours looks like the arches at 5:00 a.m. after a night at a local club. Big Grin

Yeah. I'm a little worried. When there's no work, and the
people get restless, who do you think they come after?... El Presidente!

So, according to the rules, cigars should be in HDJAficionado's hands tomorrow.

Given that, how many are in this thing?

BTW HDJAficionado, I lived in Athens for six months while attending Supply Corps school - what a fantastic town!! What's the general consensus regarding the school's closing?

I'm hoping you received mine?! Perhaps you could indicate when a person's entry fee arrives?

i received yours the other day hotreds, sorry i did not tell you sooner, i was waiting for more peoples to get here before i sent out a list.
So far only frederiko and hotreds are here.
Mail is slow nowadays so i figured everyones will be a little late getting here.

It is not too late to send them if you have not, just try and do it tomorrow.

honestly since i am friends with alot of people in pre med and nursing school, they are excited because in all likelyhood there will be a medical school opening in its place.
I did know a few guys who were there, they came out and played rugby from time to time.
