I think i saw this on cigar pass and it looked like a neat idea, basically someone sends out a smoke with the band off in an envelope to the reviewer and it gets reviewed blind. The person who smokes takes a guess, reveals the smoke and gives an after thought.

If you receive a smoke, you then send one out to the next person. Right now im just trying to gauge some interest because its a really good idea to try some cigars you wouldnt normally smoke. If youd be interested, post so, ill try to get this running in about a week or so if theres enough interest.

I think this is a great idea - count me in if it goes anywhere.

This is a great idea... I'm on board.

How soon would you have to smoke it after you received it?

id say within 2 wks, its a pretty reasonable time table for the cigar to adjust to the proper humidity/humidor conditions.

ill start a definite thread in about a week or so and send out the first cigar when im home next weekend, ill post sending order on first come first serve basis and we'll get this started.

So, you don't have to smoke the cigar before you send one out to the next person?

i think that would keep the reviews coming in at a reasonable pace, i think if we waited a week or two to smoke it plus a week to ship wed only get a review every 3 wks instead of about one every week

Yeah, if you waited to smoke, then send, this would take a year with the current list we have....

Yes, with rating a cigar and having others waiting for the pass, smoking ASAP would be advisable.
