If we don't have a winner today, everyone can guess again tomorrow, so there is yet hope...

大畜 (da4 chu4), "Great Accumulating". Other variations include "the taming power of the great", "great storage", and "potential energy." Its inner trigram is ☰ (乾 qian2) force = (天) heaven, and its outer trigram is ☶ (艮 gen4) bound = (山) mountain.

You have been "Accumulating" a lot of posts. Big Grin

Am I a bad person for not quite grasping what the hell everybody's talking about? I think it might have something to do with the Dao De Ching or something similar...

Any chance somebody could let me know what you all are talking about Smile

Not to worry - it's a bit obscure.

Start here, and have fun!

渙 (huan4), "Dispersing". Other variations include "dispersion (dissolution)" and "dispersal". Its inner trigram is ☵ (坎 kan3) gorge = (水) water, and its outer trigram is ☴ (巽 xun4) ground = (風) wind.

Thru 1000+ post you have dispersed much knowledge...and will disperse a 5 pack to me for winning. Big Grin

The Sun sets

The Wind blows

And I depart...

Without a winner my cigars wait, lonely and destitute, yearning for the touch of flame to bring them to glorious life.

Tomorrow is another day...

Smile

|¦¦¦|¦ Sprouting (屯 chún)
Difficulty at the Beginning

|¦¦ Inner/Lower is Zhen or Thunder
¦|¦ Outer/Upper is Kan or Water

You have referred to the number 3 twice now. That is my answer for today and I am sticking to it...I think Confused

"Great Invigorating". Its inner trigram is ☰ (乾 qian2) force = (天) heaven, and its outer trigram is ☳ (震 zhen4) shake = (雷) thunder

No clue it is worth a shot

Nope.

Wink

This morning, driving, watching the sky, seeing the dance of trees in the wind…

Cold, but not *too* cold, brilliant sun, blue sky so very, very deep…

We don't get colors like that in the summer, only now, in the dark of the year…

the beauty is breathtaking…

And we wait...

I am AMAZED that so many people seem to know what in the hell is going on!! Good contest CP, I'm enjoying your posts evenif it's all completely lost on me. (I go through life in a perpetual state of mild bafflement and confusion, so this is no great problem)

Alright Crazy, If I don't guess now, I will waste way too much time on this at work:

TA KWO, Preponderance of the great.

The inner trigrams would be Tui (the spirit of accumulating and spreading)

and the second trigram would be Sun (penetrating Spirit)

Am I even close?

Pay attention to detail, as success will come in small ways. Do not be over-ambitious, but be modest and conscientious in order to achieve results. Be patient before starting on large projects: now is not a good time for them.

Response: "Get a $20 bill to taste like a Davidoff and I'll light my entire paycheck on fire!"
