Just trying to get an idea of how many people like to collect cigar bands. I know they are worth little to No money but, who collects them anyway? I have about 300+ bands and just love to collect them. Also if you do collect how do you store them and showcase them?
I save a lot of bands. I'll paste one in a diary if it was from a really good cigar or special occasion. Sometimes Cigar Family, CAO, et al. have a promotion where you send in bands for free stuff. Also I got a great cigar store indian from BandwagonUSA (affiliated with JR's) for 100 bands and $155, including shipping! It's a gorgeous indian, 40" tall and solid wood, possibly mahogany. They are selling the same exact style in JR's stores in NYC for $200 and even more elsewhere. I would definitely say some cigar bands have value.

I keep my bands, have the wife paste them onto heavy and into a picture frame with a glue stick and the I hang in my cigar/poker room, the frames I get from Wally World 2 for 4 bucks, cheap and looks nice.
I try to keep the band from every new brand/size and put them into a notebook with comments on the draw flavor burn aroma construction price and any other remarks about what goes good with them.

I try and pick up at least one cigar that differs from my standards. And I save the band. I saw some wall art once that was made from cigar bands. Basically, bands glued to a surface and then framed. It looked nice. I figured if I got enough I could do the same. -Jason

I have a collection of at least one band of every different cigar I've smoked. I also have my grandfather's cigar band collection from about 1910 or so.

If you ever are in Club Macanudo in NYC (and every cigar smoker who visits NYC should make it a "must-see" stop) they have two giant pictures that are all cigar bands glued together. I can't remember but I think they are all old Cubans. Really cool!

I'm saving up for that Montecristo humidor from Bandwagon USA too. I've only got a 50 cap humidor though so It'll be a while before I can get the 200 bands I need.
I'm also keeping 1 band from every new cigar I try and I think I'm going to post them into a picture frame after I get a few more.

Why? I sincerly don't know, but i also save my cigar bands. Maybe one day i'll create some beautiful work of art with them.Untill then i recommend that you keep saving them.Thier always good to look back on for all the good and bad smokes you had.
Like my smoking days, I used to collect the Marlboro Miles. I never redeemed them though. This time I save all my bands and hope to get something cool from bandwagon.

I too collect all my bands and keep in a stamp album. I have a few old Cuban bands from a trip to Havana and have plenty of the contemporary bands. If any one has swaps...
