Hey, I am new here and a new cigar smoker. I have basically just been trying anything and finding what I like. I recently have been hooked on the Java (maduro) cigar, but it doesn't seem to be sold anywhere at the moment so I am looking for a trade for some until then. These are the cigar brands I currently have: Acid Kuba Kuba Acid Def Sea La Aurora Torano 1959 Exodus CAO Brazilia Occidental Reserve Kalhua Bahia B-line #1 Indian Tabac Super Fuerte
You're going to find that as time progresses, your taste buds may migrate from flavored cigars to darker stronger cigars. Or....they may not.
However, you've already got a great set of cigars there.
A good place to start is with the cheaper Funte's, Ashton's are always good too. Punch is not bad. Cohiba red dot's are overpriced, but good cigars in their own right. Macanudo's and Helix are great starter cigars too.

I would recommend the 5 Vegas Gold cigars. They are mild but tasty and a nice step-up for a new cigar smoker. I still burn one in the morning here and there.

I would have to recomend the 5 vegas or some of the fonseca line. Smooth beginer smokes that you would enjoy. Send me an email if intrested in a trade. jtfjethro@yahoo.com
I agree with the last post. I'm also new and bought a box of Fonseca Vintage. Milder cigar but a very enjoyable smoke.

Hello to all: I am a fan of Acid Cigars, but not crazy about the large ring size like the Extra Ordinary Larry 6"x62 or the Ming, so would like to trade them for smaller Acid. I have 2 of each ($8x4), so would be interest in your Def Sea and Kuba Kuba, and Kalhua, and Bahia B-linw, for even trade. Thanks.
I can say with confident that my favorite cigar are the AF Hemmingway's very smooth. I am also a noob to this and I have found some really good smokes but I like anything from Autero Fuente.

I read on some forums that the Pepins are a more flavorful cigar than say the fuentes. I am curious to see what you guys think, and whether I should try one or two. I am usually a mild to medium smoker, but always willing to try a new cigar. Thanks in advance.

pepins are a completely different cigar. you get that classic spice generally with penins that you don't get from fuente. a newer smoker might be intimidated by it.

Try the AF Chateau Sungrown Cuban Belicoso, very flavorful cigar for about $5. Punch rare corojo and grand cru are good also. I smoked a Pepin blue label last night and it was a great smoke. Totally different from Fuentes, just different flavor profiles. But that is the great thing about cigars, you can try a bunch of them to see what you like.
