Since I'm a newbie around here and I'm trying to build some street cred I figured I try to start something a little different. Here's what I'm proposing:
I will collect a list of the names of people who want to be involved. Each person will send a cigar from their humi that they would give a 90 or better rating. I'm not talking any official cigar rating, just your own opinion. The cigar does NOT have to be a super premium or rare just something you really enjoy and would like to share.
You will only need to send one cigar to the next person on the list. We will all ship at the same time. After you have smoked the gifted cigar you will write a short review and give your rating based on the typical 100 point scale.
The reason for this pass is to get to know one another better and pass on a smoke that you believe is superior to someone who may never have had one.
Now you might be thinking, "How do I ship only one cigar?" Well, that is up to you. Some may want to wrap it with bubble wrap and send it in a mailer while others way wish to secure it with 4 other cigars, totally your choice, but remember you only need to send 1.
I'll give people a couple of days to sign up and start the list below. I'll take the first slot. I'll send the first cigar out on Monday, June 16 (also the cut-off date to sign up) if we have enough to get started.
Please if you choose to participate make sure you intend to follow through. Even though the cost is only 1 cigar no one wants to get cheated. We're all gentlemen here and like I tell my students- Don't make a promise you don't intend to keep.
