UPDATE

I took the liberty of calling the Postal Service to find out wtf is going on with the package.

They person was able to show that it was infact shipped on July 6, Shipped Priority with Delivery Confirmation but there was NO INSURANCE TAKEN OUT ON THE PACKAGE, which I thought was part of the rules we discussed for this cigar pass incase anything would happen to the cigars.

Anyways I gave them both ship to address and ship from address as they request as well as my cell number. One thing was mentioned that the address TWITCH provided and shows in his email I saved is Overland Park, KS 62204 this is the same zip code as EAST SAINT LOUIS ILLINOIS. which is probaly why there is a delay in the package. Anyways I have the local postal office looking to find where the package was last at and they are gonna call me on there results.

IRISH or TWITCH if either of you decide to call the Postal Service give them this code OR16492410 and let them know your working with me (Rene Mireles) on locating the package.

Smoke'em If you got them, and boy due I have them.

I hope it went out Friday. I'm going camping with the family on Thursday.

Chris. If you haven't sent it yet, go ahead and skip me just to be safe.

MUST BE A LONG DAY AT WORK Smile

Please from now on post tracking number the same time you decide to post your cigar puts and takes, this helps others with knowing when the package actually was sent out so there isn't a ton of "WHERE is the BOX" posts. Unless you guys would rather have me hand out phone numbers and you can just get a call on WHERE the BOX is. Smile

It's just a little disappointing and kills the excitement a bit that recently, it's been taking so long for the box to get shipped. Seemed like it was moving so quickly and smoothly before. Still can't wait for my chance to put and take.

Look forward to it, very soon!!

I agree wholeheartedly. The first few of us went all out to make sure the box was moving quickly, and it seems to have stalled pretty badly the last few stops. I hope things pick up soon...

The wife just called to tell me the box has arrived. The box is safe and appears to be in good shape.
I will not be able to make my selections until Saturday since I am camping 80 miles from home.

I will get it shipped as soon as I can.

Finally, I'm next after Otto.... I'm very excited!

Quick question: How much insurance do you take out on it? I have been wondering about this the whole time... Thanks!!

Can hardly wait!

One big plus about these newbie box passes is that it helps build a member's reputation as a good trader/passer. If you can build up a great reputation, the more established, veteran members on the board will be more apt to trade or run passes with you.

That is an excellent reason to be very punctual in sending off the pass, and also for following the rules very carefully. It would have been very unfortunate and quite sad to the lower people on the pass, and the originator, Ren, if it had gotten lost without the insurance on it.

We have to be careful how we conduct ourselves, because some of the vets are watching... That may be a great asset to us sometime.

Just a thought...

In my defense if the box was lost I had a new one already to go. I would have eaten it myself. My delay was getting it the weekend of the fourth of July and at 2pm Saturday. Post wasn't open until Tuesday. That cost us like two days. The wrong zip code I couldn't help. Sticker was incorrect. If that didn't happen I think the transition would have been smoother.

Insurance I think was set at 200-250.

I'm sorry... I didn't mean that as an attack on you, Irish. I just meant overrall to all of us, including myself, that we have to be careful and speedy. Not just making an attack. I'm sorry if it came off as that.

And I have no doubt that you would have stood as a man of honor and replaced it all from your own pocket. Very commendable. I'm glad that you didn't have to take that hit, though.

This has been a very fun pass... I've got to watch in anticipation as several that I had eyed for my picks go along the way. *pout* But, plenty of other great ones to choose from!

Its all good. I just never gave an account on what happened on my end. I think we all need to be a little on edge especially with the heat on the east coast. Its been hot. Also, I had the box out on the sixth and its the 22nd today and has only gotten to two other players in 16 days. To long. Well I think the next players have been reminded how important it is to keep that box moving.

Enjoy guys.

I'll make my selections and refresh the box tonight. I work from home toworrow so it will be very easy to get it shipped first thing in the morning.
