Of course, but not just from this guy, it's everywhere. Like I said MSRP doesn't matter in this case, it's all about what the market dictates. I think Opus X's at MSRP are way overpriced as it is. You could get many better CC's for much less.

Cloud nine gets all the publicity, but cloud eight actually is cheaper, less crowded, and has a better view.

I think the Fuente's have figured out the perfect marketing system, which unfortunately trickles on down to private sales.

The limited availability is half of what makes them so sought after, yes they are good but I think people get a bit wrapped up in the opus frenzie.

So they are bought up almost overnight at places that sell freely, and last a tad longer at places that limit you to x# of sticks. Then the guys that can obtain boxes can ask what they want, and people will buy them.

And the Anejo is just as bad, I love them but they are near impossible to get locally. Fuente will sell you two at a time if you spend $25 first(phone orders). If you live locally you can get them, but then lots of those people now have a way to make cash on sticks they pay MSRP for.

So introduce a Kick ass cigar, let everyone try them, then jack up the price and trickle them out to the distributers, and people will go crazy for them.

And people still pay $35 a piece for the belicoso xXx on cbid, even though doing a little bit of research and finding a place that sells at msrp really isn't that difficult.

Man, hope OP had his flame suit on!

I would never pay that much, but he is not out of line asking for $600 according to the market place. Just a few examples:

EBay 32 DC
EBay 29 Super Belicoso

I do see Jay's point though, which is "Don't insult us with that kind of price."

Some of the people took this the wrong way,and should not be insulted by it.Yes 600 is alot of money and lets face it some one will buy it.
Maybe not any one from this board, but someone will. There are people that will with out even thinking twice pay 100.00 for 1 Opus X.Thats right 1 cigar. The moral of the story is if you want that box it will be 6 bills.Right or wrong
this is not the make a friend thread or the BOTL of the year ballot.
