cheering for the over achieving Rangers here.......
This years team is just fun to watch if nothing else. All goes well and we might just make it into the playoffs........sweeping the A's this week.......gotta believe ;
In the event that we don't make the playoffs, I will certainly be cheering for the Sox......
We Red Sox are destined to suffer... it's just our lot... That being said, you gotta love the addition of Schilling and his desire. Did anyone else hear him call into the AM Sports Talk Radio and light the reporter up? What a stud. What would the Cigar Afficionado equivalent be of a Red Sox fan? Maybe the guy who gets his hopes up continually, gets to his local shop, let's the owner talk him into a "great new smoke" and he goes home and lights up, only to find it is dry and bitter... I don't know. I'm here getting ready for hurricane #4 in the last 6 weeks and still stinging from watching Pedro give up a nice tying shot last night.

----------------------------- "The cigar...is something that commands respect. It is made for all the senses, for all the pleasures, for the nose, the palate, the fingers, the eyes... A good cigar contains the promise of a totally pleasurable experience."
Huge Pastime fan. I'm a Midwest boy, born and raised, so my hopes are riding on the Cubbies chances this October. I've got Family in NY and a softspot for the other curse sufferers so I've been torn for these past NY/BoSox games. I just want to see good baseball I guess is what it comes down to. When it all gets dumbed down, I have a feeling this will be the main points for this years Northeast baseball showdown: Pedro has too much pride; Curt is a stud; Mussina has too much riding on him; and Brown is an idiot.
If Sheff can carry the Yanks, I think they'll take it after another ALCS for the ages, just my quick analysis.
The great thing about Sox/Yankees games is that its always a playoff game, whether in April or Oct. Can't beat these series. Love the Sox, they'll never win and that might be a good thing for this city. a Sox victory would leave Boston in ruins.
baseball is boring, but these games almost have the electricity of a hockey game, fights and all.
. . .I'd rather be cursed than be a Yankees fan.

another weekend of fine baseball i;am not happy about the outcome though the red sox won;t go away and the yankees pitching sucks it has the potential for a long winter i predict many changes if the yankees are knocked out early especially the pitching staff

Met the most confused man in the world this weekend...a native New Englander who is a Yankee fan and votes Democrat. That is just too many contridictions for me to handle...
