hey guys ive been building up a nice collection of cigars and introducing myself to a nice variety, but i feel like ive been getting rediculously over priced cigars, where is a good place to get cigars for decent prices as close to msrp or close... anywhere near the city..? thanks guys...

Due to a 38% tobacco tax on top of the sales tax you can not buy cheap cigars in NYC.

I usually depend on shops like Holts and Famous-smoke in PA for my cigars or I shop out of the country.

Importing cigars from Cuba is actually cheaper than buying locally (as long as you don't get caught)

doc, you didn't get hit with that 38% crap on that box of opus robusto did you?

I generally purchase from online vendors only to avoid the taxes previously referred to. But, I know JR Cigar has a very large selection of cigars in their locations. They have two stores in NJ - one in Paramus, the other in Whippany.

JR Whippany

I've been to the Whippany location once, and was pleased with the staff and selection.
