No. I've been in the process of changing jobs so I haven't had much spare time. I'll be back on the blog in a few weeks and, soon, as Cigar Editor for The Whisky Life magazine (www.thewhiskylife.com).
Don't cancel your subscription to CA or anything -- my column is designed more for whisky people dipping their toes into the cigar world -- but definitely check it out if you like whisky. The magazine takes a very non-pretentious approach to whisky. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to expand my appreciation of scotch in particular.
"Cuban seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and Cuba. The wrapper would be from Cuba. The binder leaves would be from Nicaragua. For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. That Cigar, he says with pride, would score 100 points." -Don Pepin Garcia

Hey I just saw your myspace page. My favorite TV show of all time is Arrested Development. Your quote is amazing. little did they know that the banana stand was lined cash. I though no one else liked that show. I have been a freak about for along time. Nice to know there are others. I watch the dvds all the time. Anyways, congrats on the job.
