Been busy but here's something interesting:

My local B&M is blowing out some of their overstock and they have Fuente Hemingway and some other good stuff at 30% off.

Also -- they have Jose Seijas and some other limited Altadis stuff at 40% off.

Oh, and they have one box left of Camacho Diploma natural at 30% off -- about $100 for the box. I grabbed one for myself.

The stuff's not on their website but if you call they'll tell you what's left.

Those Fuente Hemingways at 30% off are a steal. I remember back when you couldn't get them at full MSRP.

New entry today:

"Extensioncord’s Take On CA’s Top 25 Cigars of 2007"

Read it at www.myspace.com/cigarblog

It's excruciatingly long but for those of us who wait all year for CA's list, it might be enjoyable.

I just picked up five of the 91-rated Rocky Patel Edge Sumatra toros that made it into the Top 25. I'll smoke some this weekend and post a review next week.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Great entry today! It's good to hear which on the list are the true heavy-hitters that I should look to try first..

Extensioncord that was a great entry. I really enjoyed reading it and appreciate your sense of humor in many of the cigar descriptions. I almost spit coffee on my laptop while reading it though. Big Grin

Nice work E-cord. Very informative and entertaining.

This cracked me up!
"So, if you really want a mild cigar in a perfect shape, buy a Macanudo Diplomat instead and give the remaining $30 to charity. Or go down to the local strip club and give $30 to Charity if that's your thing."

Good take, EC. Can't believe the update you wrote on the Vision -- seems kind of fascist to me. But you're right: it's their house and they can censor us.

Great Blog updates....I was wondering though where the blog you wrote about bachelor party cigars was as I couldn't find it and I was told you wrote something on that. I'd love to read it.

Very good. I liked the Vega Fina review. I've had similar experiences with these cigars, very good for the price in Spain.

Good post ECord. I met Rocky in Houston about three years ago when I was a noob. I knew who he was since I loved the RP Vintage, and an article of him was just posted on Cigar Aficionado. He is a humble man who works hard to promote his product.

The first time I met him was at a NYC Big Smoke. A group of us were talking with him and mentioned we'd love to see his operations. "Sure," he said, "here's my cell number. Give me a call and let me know when you'd like to visit."

I bet I couldn't Jim Colucci or Daniel Nunez to answer an e-mail let alone take a phone call from a lowly customer.
