I just got my humidor set up, but the humidifier and hygrometer keep falling off the top of the box. It came with velcro tape, but the adhesive doesn't seem to be strong enough. I was thinking of using super glue to hold the parts to the velcro, but I wasn't sure if the chemicals would affect the cigars. What can I do?
I have had the same problem and did not want to use a glue that had vapors that would transfer to my cigars. I used a hot glue gun and have had great results and no vapors.

If you applied the sticky side velcro after you seasoned the humidor - you may have a problem with it sticking. I'd shy away from and glue or adhesive just because IMHO anything in a chemical nature is out of the question.
Being as you're new to the humidor and I assume fairly new to cigars & storage. Have you thought about a total upgrade of this new humidor - such as a digital hygrometer/temp gauge - about $25.00 and 65% humidi-bead holder from heartfelt ind. about $20.00. With these two upgrades you are more aware of what your humidor is doing and the beads give you worry free humidification. good luck & good smoking to you.
