Amen to that, I bought my first humi a few months ago and im already thinking about buying a bigger one since there are a few boxes of stoogies I'd like to buy and age a while. (Punch Rare Corojo Pitas for one) My 25 ct humi just isnt doing me justice. Another vote for at least a 50ct humi, but go ahead and plan for the future, get a 100ct, you wont regret it.
I started with a 25ct present then I bought a 50ct and another 25ct. all wood nothing too much. Now I have a 250ct ryj humi a 250ct with one drawer from havava humidor and a 100ct glass top. ebay does have a nice selection. I bought my 250 ct one drawer no problems in 3 years.

I got the savoy extra large and I love it. It holds roughly 150-250 depending on size. I have fit 200 in there with no trouble and room to spare. It holds the humdity well and I only paid 160 for it at tobaccogroveonline.com.
Hard work may pay off eventually but laziness always pays off now.
I have a 25 count desktop that I bought years ago. It's right under some old cigar boxes that I bought years ago.
I currently use an Aristocrat Plus as my main humidor, An Elie Bleu 150 count, a 150 Count Monticristo Cup Hand painted humidor for my Cuban cigars, a JR Special from a few years back with an H. Upmann Logo as my Moochodor, and a couple of cheapies that are just sitting collecting dust.
Avoid the Humidrawer as it does not hold moisture and be certain to check with the dollar bill check before buying any humidor.

Believe it or not, I made my first humidor. It's about as 50-60 size. Hard to tell as I designed it so I'm not sure what volume corresponds to what size. Since you asked, it's all cherry and made like a small side table with legs. The top is highly figured wood. It has one tray and is compartmentalized.
I am currently designing a new humidor that will utilize some Brazilian rosewood veneer I found. I'm thinking curved front with multiple drawers, and hidden slide out trays to place my scotch et al.

Open the humidor lid and lay a dollar bill on the lip. Close the lid. If the bill slips out easily the seal is not tight. If the lid holds onto the bill it is a good seal.

whatever you buy, make sure you take everyones advice and go bigger. I bought a 150 count diamondback from J.R.'s and thought i would never be able to fill it, but now it's overflowing and a larger tupperdor is overflowing as well. my wife has given me permission to build a mini walk in or large cabinet in our new house that we are planning to build in the next 5 years.

Yes go bigger. If you love cigars you will eventually fill it. If you get bored with cigars you will be able to sell a nice big humidor easier than a little dinky one.
Also after your second tabletop, get a cabinet humidor. I wish I had. I kept adding tabletops to my collection and then when all my $$$ was tied up in cigars, I made a coolerdor. Sure I have almost 1000 cigars, but no where to keep them. (That was not a hint to start mooching!)

At this point in time I know the seal is good but I think the humidor is running a bit on the high side (stupid digital hygros, the one that came with the humidor is reading at 78% and the semi-retarded one I got from radio shack is reading at 61%, and neither of them would settle at a number for any period of time when i did a salt test. I just orderd an analog one from TampaHumidors, so hopefully it will be accurate), some of the smokes are coming out a bit too soft even lacking in flavor. I just ordered some of the 50/50 solution from Tampa Humidors, so we will see if this helps the situation. I think once this is sorted out the 'dor will be great.

I just got my first humidor, and it's got a 40qt capacity Yup, I'm a broke college kid, so I went the way of the coolidor. As it stands however, I don't know if there's a cheaper way to hold hundreds of cigars. Still holds solid humidity, and still has the spanish cedar smell because I have a bunch of boxes in there. Sure, it isn't very pretty, and I can't sit it on my desk, but hell I'm broke, I don't need to be worrying about those things. Took a day to make, about a week to stabalize, and it'll take me the rest of my life to fill that thing up. I look forward to it.
I bought a Prometheus Milano for my first one and I couldn't agree with BinDerSmokDat more. Whatever you think you need, go bigger. I just purchased a Manning 200ct. Everyone gets their own room!
