You know I just always eat before I smoke, and I make sure that if I am smoking a cigar that is said to be a stronger cigar, I make sure to take my time, smoke while I am relatively full, and make sure that I have a sweet drink. I actually drink sugar water alot when I smoke cigars. Its good to prevent the nausea and stuff, and the taste is so small that it really doesnt take away from the taste of the cigar. If all else fails, I would smoke some milder cigars and work your way up. A Camacho Maduro is a more earthy cigar anyways.

re Camcho cigars suppose to be strong? I thought they promoted them as strong cigars. I only smoked a couple but never felt like that.

I have a 1962 and a Maduro figurado that I have sitting in the humi. Strong??

I dont know if they are as much strong, as they seem to be kind of earthy and harsh. Which is kind of a really dark wrapped maduro flavor. IMO they seem fairly strong, with quite a bit of earthy taste. Not a cigar for a beginner.

I remember my first time getting sick....I was out enjoying the night, chatting it up with a beautiful girl, had a few crown on the rocks, and then a buddy of mine buys me an OPUS X. This was the first one I have ever had, well, about 1/2 way in, i find myself feeling sweaty and nauseous. I excuse my self to take a "phone call", and i end up sitting in my car, throwing up in the parking lot. I then had to call my roomate to come get me and take me the 6 blocks home. It knocked me on my ass, plain and simple. Big Grin

I have been nauseated by a couple of cigars - Lito Gomez, El Rico de Habano, but a fresh Opus X power ranger is the only cigar that has made me hurl

That's your body's reaction to high-levels of nicotine. It happens to me sometimes too.

I had it happen one time and thought the same thing, I was a wuss.
I was on the golf course and had picked up a pack of cigars off the shelf at one of the drug stores on the way to the course since I did not have any with me.

I had a couple while on the course and no big deal but on the way home I light up another and smoked it completely on the way home.

As soon as I got out of the suburban I felt dizzy and sick. I came in a laid on the couch. I never threw up but I actually did not want a cigar for a day or so. I guess I did not know what caused it and then a buddy of mine told me that I probably did the 2 no no's to cigar smoking(other than buying those things of the shelf in the drug store) and that was smoked on empty stomach and TOO FAST...

Never had that problem since
