Its my first post and as you will be able to tell, I have a newbie problem. I set up my humidor and ordered a bunch of samplers based on the wealth of info on this site. I just had a Rock Patel Sungrown Robusto and absolutely loved it! Hated to see it end. The question is, should I order a box to fill up the humi space, try a few more or keep trying different brands. When you guys first started did you keep finding new sticks which made an impression and you regretted your first time impulse buy? Should I keep going through my variety sampler? Try a few more RP Sungrowns to see if they are consistent? Any recommendations for similiar smokes?

I'd smoke your samplers (after letting them sit for awhile) before ordering anything else. First smoke as many different singles as you can, take notes, determine what you like, THEN order boxes of the cigars you liked best.

The last thing you want is to have boxes of cigars occupying your humi, when you've just discovered great new cigars that you'd rather have in there.

How big is your humidor? If you fill it up with one cigar and later find that you would like to try other cigars you might have some problems with space (you will anyway eventually)

Since you are new to this hobby, try a few different samplers, read my daily post (Tonights Smoke) and see what others are smoking, and enjoy.

I started back in April and found some sticks that I really like but Im waiting to buy a box. I would rather go buy 24 different/new cigars than get 24 of the same

Why are John Deere's green? So they can hide in the fields while the Farmall's do all the work.

Thanks for the replies. Its a 100 count and so far have 15 sticks. So I have a bunch of space. Sounds like I needs some more samplers. Doc, read your post daily.Very informative.
