OK, I have toyed with this idea for a while. I have decided to pull off a David Blainesque stunt to raise money for Cap Cure!

Here's the details;

1.) Saturday June 17th I will stay up for 24 Hours straight and I will smoke cigars non-stop.

2.) I am asking you guys to donate to CAP Cure with a donation based on my results.

3.) You can donate "X" amount per hour or per cigar.

4.) I will stay awake a MAX of 24 hours and I guarantee I will smoke a MIN of 12 cigars in that period.

5.) I want everyone to pledge an amount, in advance and in public based on how long you think I will stay up/cigars smoked.

6.) Example, "I pledge $1 per cigar BinDer Smokes" or "I pledge $2 per hour BinDer Stays awake.

7.) Donations should be made to CAP Cure within 48 hours of me completing this stunt.

8.) You can donate directly to CAP Cure Click Here!

9.) CAP Cure is a charity that raises money for prostate cancer. I picked them because it's Father's Day that weekend, it's an illness in which 100% of those stricken are men and they have a long standing partnership with cA and are a reputable charity.

10.) I will stay up and post frequently so every one knows I am awake, posting and smoking.

11.) I will even hook up my webcam and you guys can see me smoking LIVE.

12.) Here is the CAP Cure site if you have any questions about the charity.
Find out more
13.) I want to raise awareness of prostate cancer. Guys should get checked over 50 or sooner of they have a history of prostate cancer in their family. Just pick a doc with small fingers. Wink

Alright guys, let the pledging begin!

Can I pledge a contribution without having to stay up 24 hours?

Anyway, that's what I intend to do.

Does anyone else see the irony in this?

Yep! I'm going to post the fianl tally of cigars and hours that Sunday, but you don't have to wait until then to make a pledge.

And Cor' I won't be inserting any cigars, just smoking them, so there is no irony there. Wink

BinDer:

I am hereby pledging $2 for every hour that you stay awake. (up to 24 hours; or a maximum of $48.)

Cheers,

Ron

Thanks Ron, I won't disappoint. As the event draws nearer, I'll have info on the webcam and where you can see up to the minute pics of the "butt tally."

Binder, you make my day whenever you post! I'll pledge the $2/hour as well, up to the previously stated $48 max.

The awaited date is fast approaching... I hope you have been doing some rigorous training for your task... LOL!

You may even want to remind those who have pledged and those who haven't... Seems we have a lot of new people on the forum lately...

We had a power failure so my alarm clock didn't go off! This offically kicked off at 10 am. First cigar? Well it would have to be something a little special for an occasion like this, the only cigar with an acronym longer than some other cigar's names; SCDLH LCDH.I'm working on getting the web cam up shortly.

This Murallas is pretty tasty. Some oak with sweet creamy vanilla undertones. Reminds me of a good small batch bourbon.

My webcam is up and running. Those with MS Messenger or you can use NetMeeting I'm BinDerSmokDat@hotmail.com PM me on Hotmail to get an invite.
