I save them in a glass bowl -- got the idea from Binder. That way if someone asks or I wonder what I've been smokin' I can look and see what I've had recently and a while back. I always liked the idea of a cigar diary with tasting notes but I'm not anal enough to stick with that.

When I first started smoking cigars I would save them. Now I just throw them away. Sometimes I feel guilty about it when I smoke an expensive cigar but I still toss them.

Right now I have them in a couple old cigar boxes, but I am getting a large goldfish bowl to put them in. I am going to have them on display in my Cigar bar. I got the idea from a smokeshop I visited. It will be like a one of a kind piece of art!!!
I too tape them into my cigar journal with accompanying tasting notes. While I don't get every one (they don't alway make it back from the golf course), I have most from the last two years. At first I only recorded it if was a new cigar (or new to me), but tasting notes of the same box over 2-3 years have proven very helpful.

I went out and bought a leather business card book and place all mine in there. This way i can just flip through see which ones I tried and which ones didn't. It's a nice way to keep track!!

i saw this somwhere a while back and thought it was a cool idea..
get a coffe-table, stick all the bands on it's top and lamintae the table-top... bamm you have yourself the most original coffee table for a smoking room... unique work of art...
just immagine that table with my giant trinidad ashtray....
I save mine, on the back I write what the date was and who I had it with. Then I put them all together in a front and back glass picture frame for the wall in the office. (little nerdy but cool for now)

I keep one band for each brand and store them in a business card book. The repeat brands, even if different vitola but same band get tossed away. Though recently I started to save repeat NC bands: who knows, maybe will need to wrap them around CC - you know why
I was going to collect them, but then started throwing them away. After reading your posts, I am wishing I kept all of them!
I guess I will start saving them now. I think of how many I threw away over the past year alone, I bet I could have made several tables and lamps by now!
I'm collecting them so I can make a collage, either as a poster or over a humidor or furniture. I only collect bands that I've smoked. My current favorite might be the new San Cristobal bands. They are of high quality and lots of details.
I keep the band everytime I try something new. I really don't have a reason to keep them and certainly don't have a fancy place to keep them. They are all either scattered around my house or in a ziploc in my truck.
I suppose one day I'll either gather them up and do something with them, or just start throwing them out.

I keep any band that isn't already in my collection and store it in an old cigar box. Eventually I plan on making a cigar journal with notes about each one.
Bandwagon USA, what a GREAT concept - especially since I normally threw mine away (not anymore though).
For any of you that normally throw yours away, I'd gladly take them off your hands, so that I can work towards that excellent Cigar Store Indian for my Man Cave And then maybe the H. Upmann humidor.

Yea i save mine as well, I also save all my wine corks. One day i plan to make a bar and have the middle part of the counter with all the corks with glass over them and on the edges have my labels under glass as well.

I am also a "saver" I have a pocket size datebook in which I paste my bands on the day I smoked the cigar. Sometimes there are two when I smoke with my son. But if it's my everyday (Onyx or Licenciado) I don't bother. But last week in Tucson I lost my 2007 datebook. So there will be a gap.

Since I'm really new to Cigar smoking I too keep all of my bands. Right now there in a cigar bag, but I will admit I do like the glass goblets many of you say you have. I think once I buy my first box of Cigars I'll move them into there.
As of now the coolest looking band that I have is my recently purchases Opus X, that's a crazy looking band.

I keep all of mine in an old Bolivar box. If I smoke on a special occassion, like when my daughter was born, I'll make a note of it on the back of the band. I've got a ton of memories in that box.
