How come I don't hear anyone talk about gurkha much or see them really talked out on the forums? I've only been on the forums for about a week or two, but it seems like gurkha is a newer company? Or perhaps their cigars are just not good? I personally love them, the best cigar I have had so far is the regeant.
I think it's because a lot of people don't care for them. I like a Regent at Cigarbid prices, but not at MSRP. I don't care for any of the other Gurkha cigars.

Hey Draygonia, How do you like Alaska? I've been in the Air Force almost ten years, Jan 14th is my ten year mark. Gurkhas are all about marketing, definately not as good as a lot of others like Tatuaje, Padrons, Pepin's, Olivas and the list goes on and on. IMHO, they are overpriced and not near the quality of many cheaper sticks. I've never had one but almost anyone I know steers clear of them.

Because Torano blends Gurkha and then they charge a ridiculous MSRP. If I want a torano i just go get a Torano for a couple of bucks.

Ah, its nice I guess, Im only an airman, but meh, ill make it up the ladder soon enough.
I like gurkha simply because they are something to brag about as far as price. I guess its like people who spend 10x the price on clothing just to talk about how much they paid?
I personally like gurkha, but ill try other cigars. I Get them cheap, I got about 60 gurkhas for 200 bux? Something like that.
I never want to buy a cigar simply because of price. As for the clothes analogy? I wear Hugo Boss, because it fits me well, not because of price tag. They dont have a logo or anything to show off.

Gurkha's are a fairly decent cigar. I'll smoke 'em if I get them in a PIF, gift or off cbid, but IMHO they're not worth the retail prices. There are much better smokes for the same or less. $3-$5 is a good price range for most Gurkhas

I am not qualified to judge the Gurkha line since I have never smoked one, however I do have a 5-pack sampler resting in the humidor.
They might taste good, or even great, but I do not like aggressive ad campaigns from companies like Gurkha and CAO. It seems like they are trying to sell you an image rather than letting the products speak for themselves. In addition to that, every time I pick up a Gurkha to smell it before smoking it, I get turned off by what smells like dirty sweaty athlete's foot flavor coming from the cigar. :/
LOL- I think those will remain in stock for a little while, so there's no hurry.....
