Ok, so I went back to the store today with some co-workers that was selling the cigars and Colibri lighters for 50% off.... Since I had a little more time I was able to really see what they had.
I came across a humidor! Not just any humidor, but on with a Cigar Aficionado print on it. It says Volume 1 No. 2 on the top and is dated from Winter 1992-93. Looked brand new and had a CA hygrometer on the inside.
So anyway, the price was $175. I asked the girl if she would take $50 for it.... (since they were trying to get rid of everything).... she kinda looked at me funny and told me I'd need to talk to the owner who was not in....
I said "ok" and went to pick up some 50% cigars and maybe a lighter.... About 10 minutes later I hear her say the owner is in....
Me: "I'll give you $50 for that humidor taking up space over there..."
Owner: "How about $75"
Me: "How about $50 cash"
Owner: "sold!"
So.... What do ya'll think? I have never seen one like this before.... I'll post pics tonight. Did I get taken or did I do well? The owner just wants this stuff out of his store....

If the seal is good and it holds humidity you got a great deal no matter what it looks like. If the seal is bad, well... you just bought 50 bucks worth of firewood. I have heard of people fixing bad sealing humidors with stuff like weather stripping and such but have never had any luck myself. Hope it works out for ya. Sounds like you stumbled on a gold mine.
Hard work may pay off eventually but laziness always pays off now.
Not to threadjack, but to answer your question; let's just say I made a contribution to the local Indian tribe in Connecticut!
We had a fantastic time; met lots of people I've only talked to on the phone, or on line.
In attendance were: Bostnbill, Rick from Dallas (yes, Rick flew up too!), SSC, Smscoles, Rastacat, and Wacco! I was very excited to meet all of them! We sat, drank, ate, and smoked cigars from about 2:30 Saturday afternoon until almost 1 am Sunday!

It seals great, I think I'll use it for when I buy boxes. I was wondering if anyone had seen one like this before? I never have.... in the stores or online.
