For any fans of grunge era music, Pearl Jam will be releasing a new album early this summer and also a tour to support it.

Also, Audioslave has a new single called "Be yourself" that is being played on the radio and will be releasing their sophmore album early summer as well.

Audioslave will be playing at the Avalon in Boston on Thursday, April 8th.... Definitely a good opportunity for me to hit up Churchills after work, indluge myself in some Murphy's and a smoke and then get my scalp blown off by some bad ass rock music.

I'm really looking forward to the new album. If it compares at all with the new single, should be a real treat. I believe you can listen to the single on one of their websites.

Stizz, remind me about 4/28 when it gets a tad closer. I'll meet you at Churchills.

Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots were the best of their era. Everyone else needed to go back to the woodshed and LEARN how to play! Cobain was a SH*TTY guitarist!!!! IMHO...... Big Grin

I've always been in the P.J. camp. Don't get me wrong, Nirvana was great but I've always been a P.J. guy.

Will do Wacco.

I agree with the STP and pearl jam comment but, you forgot that Cobain set the grundge movement in motion. Dont forget about the smashingpumkins, alice in chains and soundgarden. Wink

People aren't smoking cigars to be trendy, cool or stylish. They're smoking cigars because they like them. Because they enjoy the experience. Because for about $5 they can spend an hour sampling one of life's greatest luxuries.

Soundgarden and alice in chains are still cool as hell. Nirvana is and always was crap.

I like audioslave and perfect circle. They are good replacements for soundgarden and tool.

Tool has another album coming out this year Big Grin. A Perfect Circle is done making records, they signed a contract to make 3 albums as a special project, the last thing they put out, Emotive, was an easy way to get out of doing a real 3rd album. They rock none the less.

Hey Stogie_meister! I like Alice In Chains! Get out the old LP's,cassettes,or CD's! A.I.C. had their first hits when Heavy Metal still ruled the stage. They were "on the edge" and were able to move in as a new "commercial musical vehicle" in the late 80's/early 90's. I used to play their stuff for $$$. Cobain bit it, and C.Love bites it toooooo!!!!
