OpusX..........uhmm... I've been saving this one for a while/special weekend (daughter married)... Man, I can't believe I'm this disappointed I took pictures of the way it was burning (strange)
flavor was off too. I'm totally mistified by this smoke. I'll have to find another one right away, this can't be normal. I bought it at a shop 150 miles away but i'll be back there in a couple of weeks.
anyway, I'm headed back to the Humi for round 2

I had a fresh rolled Torano I got Wednesday from Juan Lopez himself (the namesake of the cigar). The fresh roll was very good and matched flavor and smoothness with other more aged Casa Toranos I've had (it was a Blank Casa that was wrapped in store.)
I didn't think I could be alone in my thoughts of the Juan Lopez (NC) brand - I thought they were terrible as well and even threaded my thoughts to a lukewarm reaction. At least now I know I'm not crazy.
Tonight i smoked a Cuban Montecristo # 4 or 5, not sure. I got this cigar in very poor condition, very very dry but i decided to stick it in the humi for a couple months. Sure didnt help, this thing burned bad and was pretty plugged, but i was determined to smoke it. It tasted great, but was a pain to smoke and the draw made me so mad.

Second cigar of the night was a La Vieja Habana Rothschild Luxo.

People aren't smoking cigars to be trendy, cool or stylish. They're smoking cigars because they like them. Because they enjoy the experience. Because for about $5 they can spend an hour sampling one of life's greatest luxuries. -David Savona

Started out with a LGC Medaille D'Or No. 2 with some coffee, spend the day with my son and after a hot afternoon at the ballpark and plenty of beer I enjoyed a PSD4 (a little flat) a Boli PC (had to toss it as it got squirted by the hose) and a tasty HdM Petit Robusto. The good ones sure are good.
Peace.
