I decided to give Juan Lopez cigars another try. Right now I'm smoking the one that was reviewed earlier this year. I think it got a 90 or better. I smoked one previously and thought it was awful.
Upon further review, the taste is very earthy and spicy with a sweet finish. It reminds me of a slightly higher quality and sweeter Padron Fuma. The burn is absolutely horrible- tunneling and uneven burns despite rotating the cigar. Appearance is a lovely dark brown and square pressed.
Started today with a JDN Celebration robusto, very, very nice cigar with just tons of tobacco packed in this sucker, can't wait to smoke the torps that pmp sent...

Did a change up this morning with breakfast and coffee and had a Mag46 instead of my usual Nat Sherman Hampton. This afternoon started the race with a Oliva "X" Tabu, and now getting ready to light up a CAO Brazilia Gol...more to come later

Watching the race wtih a Juan Lopez Epicure No. 1. It will be my last one of those. I hated it. Didn't seem to have much in the way of flavor, very boring. YUCK! I'll have another Torano later today to make up for it.

That's it man. Cleanse your palate with a Torano.
I myself am starting the day with a Torano 1916 cameroon!

This morning I had a Cruz Real #24. Mild smoke without much flavors. My uncle gave me a box of these and they are not one that I would buy a box of but I'm not going to let them go to waste. Tonight I had a Cuesta-Rey Centenario #11 Belicoso. Another mild smoke with better flavoring and a flawless burn. This had a fragrant aroma while burning. I have to say I think these have one of the more artistic bands. Not that they are that important but nice to look at while enjoying the smoke. My first 2 cigar day. I am new again to cigars, this time with more appreciation for their complexity and flavors. I am starting to figure out that I prefer the Cameroon and Maduro wrapped cigars a little more than the others.

I had a wonderfully oily 1066 Dark Knight while grilling burgers for lunch. Tonight a Perdomo Reserve Cameroon X with the Sunday crossword. I actually finished the puzzle before the cigar for a change.
