One of our friends here, Bob Sheridan, was generous enough to send me 3 cigars by mail, 2 RP's and 1 Ghurka. Surprisingly they arrived pretty fast, in less than 5 days, but when I went to take them from the mail office, they requested me to pay what's equivalent to nearly a 100 bucks of customs and taxes!!
Of course I refused to pay. Today, I found them sending me another note, I said maybe they realized how stupid they were to tax me that much for just 3 cigars arriving as a gift, so I was filled with hope and decided to go another time to check, and again nothing changed. I really wondered why the **** did they send me another note if they haven't decided to drop the stupid taxes, they said I had to sign that I refuse to take the pack, so I did.
Anyway, I made this topic to give credit to Bob, whom, along with another user here, Vernon Blake, were generous enough to agree on sending me cigars. Though some technical problems with the USPS came in that prevented me from having Vernon's cigars, and though Bob's were heavily taxed beyond belief, I feel obliged to give them credit and thank both of them in public in front of everyone. Bob, the guy told me today that the pack will be sent back to you. Let me know when it arrives, maybe we can sort out another way, I have also bought you the stuff I'll send you, expect it very soon.
Thanks again guys, very much, your generosity is beyond recognition, and though I did not practically receive your gifts I want you to fully understand that I appreciate what you did and consider myself smoking the sticks now.
