Google doesn't seem to be much help. So far I have only found two decent cigar stores. One is the Tinderbox in Lenox mall. Pretty overpriced, but has a good selection. Saleseman was a little helpfull, but not as much as I would like. The only real pro is that they are the only ones who sell Davidoff for my friend (too expensive for me). Another one is a new store in downtown Decatur. Fair prices, but limited selection. Where do all the ATL locals go for cigars? I assume there has to be some hidden gem in the northern 'burbs that I haven't been able to find. I go to school at Emory, so any in that part of town or in the Buckhead area would be most convenient.
I guess I'll just have to start on-line shopping for cigars.
There's a great place (can't remember the name exactly but it might have the word "Buckhead" in it) on Piedmont Road right across the street from Bones. Forget Google. I found it the old fashioned way - the Yellow Pages.
The place across from Bones is called Edward's Pipe and Tobacco. Which is a pretty good place.
If you go down Piedmont to Sidney Marcus Blvd. You've got Ash Cigar and Scottish Tobacco right next to each other. Both seem to be pretty good.
Scottish Tobacco has a huge selection.
I do have a question about them though. I have had a few cigars from there and last few I bought had sort of a dry taste to them. Has anyone else experienced this?
Lou's Smokehouse in Lawrenceville,Ga www.loussmokehouse.com nice walk-in humidor and a good selection,good price also.
Mack's Cigars in Duluth,Ga www.mackcigars.com nice walk in humidor, good selection, good prices also.
Mack's is very freindly and very helpful, nice lounge to smoke cigars. Lou's has a lounge also. Mack's carries some cigars that lou's dooesn't (tatuaje, don pepin, la flor) but they both have a good selection of premiums. Mack's is a tad bit more expensive than Lou's on some cigars but they make up for it in knowledge and hospitality. Thats not to say Lou's isnt hospitable. They're both in relative proximity to each other and only about 20 min north of ATL. Cynthia Fuentes( A.Fuentes cigars) will be at Mack's this thurs. Hope this helps. There are a few other places around here but i haven't checkd them out yet.
There are somewhere near 80 shops in the Atlanta area. I'm sure the yellow pages suggestion will do the trick. Remember when comparing prices that we have 23% OTP tax here in GA. This typically adds 12-13% to the MSRP.

Darold, Some of the best of Atlanta and ITP are: Scottish Tobacco and GA Cigar in Buckhead. Closer intown is Highland Cigar on N. Highland in Inman Park. Have driven by it several times but never been in, although wanting to! But you can't beat the online pricing for boxes of cigars, as singles might be touch to find. I tend to go to Scottish or GA Cigar to get a single or two of something I want to try and then order from Holt's in a box. Hope this helps.
