Hi
A couple of us run a cigar club that has grown rapidly in two years. We meet for dinner etc. Numbers have grown from 20 to 80 at dinners. What do people find is the ideal number for cigar dinners? Who has had experience of running cigar clubs that they can share.
Thanks

It is interesting that you bring up the subject. Our club has just had its first meeting and we are set to have our second in a few weeks. The biggest problem is finding "cigar friendly" establishments who are willing to accomodate our group. We had 20 members show up at our first meeting and are expecting more at the second. Most of the places I spoke with seem to more willing when they find out our meetings would be during a typically slow time for them and our members tend to spend a lot of money on food and drink. Tuesday evenings seems to be working out well. Let me know more about your club we could exchange ideas for meetings. Our web site is under construction.

I created a cigar club with another cigar friend and we were going well untill we had a rather lousey experience at a local bar and now they are closed (go figure). I have had expensive dinners and the Country club and just beer nights. Is there any format anyone might use to keep it regular without breaking the bank?
I have cigar contacts but I don't want to abuse them for free cigars all the time.

Cigars are like women, you have to handle them with care, treat them nice, keep them warm and when you light them up the right way just sit back and enjoy!
