Earlier today I had an AF 858 Maduro with some Oban single Islay malt scotch. The 858 was very much like an Ashton VSG (which to me is not as complex as I would like) until the last third of the smoke where it portrayed *some* complexity. Tonight I had a Perdomo Lot 23 Robusto with some Bloody Maries and I have to say these cigars are the diamond-in-the-ruff. The Lot 23s just kick it up a notch with their peppery-caramel flavor and perfect construction, burn and draw. I really love these smokes. Perdomo is making a comeback and to me, they have turned themselves around lately.

No smoke for me tonight....ended up spraining my back today. Sitting outside isn't too comfortable so whatever is in my humi will be getting a reprieve for the next few days while I recover.

Funny I find the 858 a bit too mild and the VSG a kick @$$ cigar.

Tonight I enjoyed a PLPC which watching football and grilling steaks. Later, still watching both the Pitt and Missouri games in the hottub, I enjoyed a Romeo y Julieta Churchill and a Raphael Gonzales Panatela. Great night of NCAA Football and cigars. Nice way to top off my 5th n 6th grade boys basketball 1st game of the season, a 35-26 win.

Could be the Oban.
