It was on the news last night that a legislator in the Connecticut State House has introduced a bill to ban smoking in your privatecar if there are chi ldren under 7 in the vehicle. It would be the same circumstances as requiring a car seat or child restraint.
This woujld be under the category of "Risk of Injury to a Minor" a misdemeanor and resulting in a criminal record, not a motor vehicle violation.
