I will be getting up early on Saturday morning to fire up my smoker and will be smoking a beef brisket. We're talking about a 12 hour smoking session. While the brisket is cooking I'll keep busy keeping a close eye on it and smoking a cigar and drinking beer. After dinner it's out on the porch for a Knob Creek and Coke and a fine cigar to await the professional fireworks display that takes place in the park just around the corner. I wish you all a very happy and safe holiday celebration. God bless the USA.

Work. Have always worked for companies with 24/7 operations.

The little town i work in out here has a massive earthen dam at the end of town, creating Lake George. They put all the fire works on the top of the damn to shoot them off. You can sit right at the foot of damn, and the fireworks are directly over the top of you. And let me tell you, the echo of the fireworks off the cliffs that surround the town is deafening.

going camping... fishing .. playing poker, and smoking about 3 cigars per day for friday and saturday.
" . i put two boxes of cigars on the window sill and voila, the cigars became, well, "plump" within a few days. so far the plump damp cigars smoke "better" than the cool dry ones "

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to the states for the 4th of july weekend. We were thinking of either going up to the Beach in Belgium (Oostende or Blankenburge) and rekindling childhood memories of being at the Jersey shore for the weekend or going to Normandy and enjoying the museums and landmarks there.

Heading up to our cottage in Northern WI Thursday night. I plan on smoking some ribs on the 4th. It should be a nice relaxing weekend of camp fires, beer, food, & cigars. Hopefully Mother Nature cooperates.

Vegas, baby. Heading out to watch and maybe play in the WSOP main event. If things go well early, I may play a satellite into the $10K event - if not, there will be plenty of ripe games out there.
In the Supermarket Biz we work Holidays, but I plan on celebrating Sunday the 5th with Baby Back Ribs, Corn On the Cob, Pasta Salad, Mac-N-Cheese and Baked Beans. I'll need to go on a hunger strike after this !!:")
