Never had a bad smoke from La Casa del Habano in Montreal. I also go to Cuba at least once a year to stock up. Good luck at selling this device to them !

I was lightly referring to OCD cause you seem to be thinking in circles about that device... Especially if you have no financial interest in it.

I'm not completely innocent...You are right, I have a vested interest in seeing that this project becomes a reality...I've seen the labels, I've been their when you look at to labels and you can't tell the difference between the two ( counterfite and real)....I've been there, when the "wrong" choice is made" ...I've been there to witness, how ANYBODY can feel empowered to detected a COUNTERFEIT cigar BOX and simply say "NO thanks, I'll buy somewhere else"....
This means, that anyone who spends anywhere from USD $350/box for H.Upmann (Magnum 50) to USD $900/box of Cohiba Seleccion Reserva can rest assured that he is getting what they pay for....And, I as a paying consumer,,, of NOT peanuts will gladly pay $15.00/ for a lense to ensure me that I'm getting what I paid for...be it here in the US, France, or even in China...
I think $15.00/lense, I would glady pay in-order to NOT get ripped off, anywhere from $350 to $900.....let the manufacturer absord the cost of the label...if you think about it..anyone who pays $350/box to $900/box of cigars is defitnitely NOT worried about a $15.00/lense and a $5.50/label.....Would you be????

I think he was here to gather opinions to see if there would a market out there for this concept/idea.

I think if he promotes it right....he might be successful. Particularly with the high dollar cigars?

I believe you are right. There is something there that could eventually bloom...
It's the "covert" aspect of is initiative that bothered me. He didn't come right out and say : "I'm a partner in this company, I want to market this thing, what do you think ?"
Instead, he presented himself (quite awkwardly) as a third party, an innocent victim of fraud asking for ways to avert this... Knowing all along he had his own solution.
I just don't like to be taken for a ride.
