HI Gang....

I amthinking of trying a few different cigars this go-around...just to break up the monotony. I used to stock some cheap 'yard gar' stuff from T's for those times when wanted t take a quick smoke and didnt care if I didnt finish it. Just a quick something to hit on. YOu know the deal. It saved the serious smokes for better and quieter times.

Anyway, I thought about buying a couple of bundles of stuff I haven't tried yet...

Has anyone smoked the Gurkha Park Avenue, Gurkha Sherpa, Perdomo Champagne, or Oliveros El Padrino?

Anyone consistently stock their humidor with any of the JR Alternatives? Which ones and what sizes?
What is the best cheapie boutique smoke on the market today?

Any, and all, help will be greatly appreciated...

GONZO !!!

I like a Perdomo Reserve Champagne every now & then - it's a good Saturday Morning smoke, mild but not bland.

So many cigars, so little time...

Well you could go Rocky Patel Edge box of 50 or 100 cab if you wanted some consistent flavorful cigars. I would look into something in the 5 Vegas line. I have had the Classic, and the Gold and I think they would both make great lawn cigars, with quite a bit of flavor for a good price. Also the 5 Vegas: Miami is made by Pepin Garcia, and those are suppoesed to be pretty good. I also personally believe that most Gurkha's are overpriced, and lack bold flavor and complexity. Just my 2 cents though.

You may want to try "The Brick" by Torano. They are well balanced and great value.

The champagnes are a good smoke but I don't think I would want to throw it away if I was smokin it and wasn't done.
