Can anyone suggest another cigar that is similar to the CAO Brazilia line? I like smoking the Pirahna because it is a quick smoke (for trips between work and home) and I like the spicyness of it.

I did a forum search but after 3 pages of "Today's Smokes" posting I gave up. I'm guessing if it gets smoked that often that you guys will have some good suggestions.

If you like the taste and size of the Brazilia I would have to recommend trying the Italia as well in the Novella size, although milder than the Brazilia, its still a great smoke. I enjoy them often in the mornings with a cup of coffee

I would say either the partagas black, (a bit for full-bodied) or the LGC SeriesR #4.

I've found the Partagas Black to be hit-and-miss. The first 2 or 3 I had were really good and the next 2 were pretty bad. All from the same box, too.

I've never tried anything from the LGC line, although I think I have one in my humidor that was gifted to me. I'll have to make a point of trying it.

The Camacho SLR Maduro is an excellent smoke, lil fuller then the Brazillia, but if you like one (which I do) I think you will like the other Smile

I think Torano rolls the Brazilia for CAO and I've heard speculations that the blend for the Torano Signature may be the same as the Brazilia.

IMHO, the Italia is a flop. I just do not like the way the flavors do not blend together.

Second, the SLR Maduro is not bad, needs age though. The Diploma Maduro is much better. Much fuller bodied than the Brazilia, but a much better smoke as well.

Third, try the VSG line. For the size you want, try the Tres Mystique or Corona Gorda. Can't miss there.

Besides Brazilia Gol!s and Samba's, I also keep a couple of tins of the Cariocas in the coolerdor. They are still handmade, long-filler Brazilias, but are a twenty minute or so quick smoke.

I also like these flavorful cigars, some with the spicy flavor profile, some just a nice bold flavor.

CAO Criollo - I like them more than the Italia
Partagas Black Labels, Spanish Rosados
Punch Gran Puro
Sancho Panza Extra Fuerte
Torano Virtuoso
Rocky Patel Olde World Reserve

Sungunner,

In my experience the Spanish Rosarios are a bit more consistent in flavor than the Black from Partagas.

Is that consistent with your experience or have I been lucky/unlucky?

If you want to try a Brazilian puro the Alonzo Menendez and Dona Flor are very good. They are sort of hard to find, but well worth the effort.
