Hincapie's team coach believes he didn't get the yellow jersey yesterday as the others didn't want to see another American in yellow. Otherwise there was no reason for that move.

He's write'n to you.
Yea this week better get interesting as it is mostly mountain rides, with some days having 2 to 4 cat 1 climbs, and ending on stage 20 with the infamous Ventoux climb. Tuesdays ride looks like like a pair of giant breasts, Martigny to Bourg-Saint-Maurice 159 km, just not as much fun to play with.
The problem with the last week of riding is that it followed the same pattern everyday. Five to ten riders go out front, who are over 1 hour behind in the standings and they race to end, while the peloton hangs back and plays it safe. So no real change in the top 10. Talk about frikin boring.

Oh yea, finally some real racing.
Should be interesting what to see what happens on Tuesday after the rest day. Can he keep up with the young puppies through 4 mountain stages?
Still, he is back up to 2nd place. Let's see his Twitter report, as he may play games and claim he is completely cooked, then come back on Tuesday and kick everyone's ass.

Oh, I wasn't insinuating he's not still a great rider, how many 37 year olds could be in 2nd place ⅔ of the way through? Lance is still my sentimental favorite.
But when you saw how much of the time he was on the pedals during the climb to the Verbiers, and wasn't able to respond to attacks by Contador, Wiggins, Schleck, Sastre and Evans, (in fact, he was paced by Klöden) it just doesn't look to me like he has the legs to stay with Contador this year. I don't think that was deception to lull anyone into a false sense of security. But who knows for sure, maybe he has the Boonen stomach bug and will be recovered by Tuesday and put the hammer down.
Still, very possibly a podium finisher nevertheless.

If Lance can take a little time from Contador tomorrow he'll win the TDF. Lance should be able to better Contador in the individual time trial but not 1:37 better. Wiggins is looking good. Tomorrow is the day for all the contenders either show up and play or go home.
Yeah Lance is done for yellow. He's being a great team captain and playing the team game. Just showing what a great champion he was and is. Astana going for top 3 which they should get after tomorrow.
Another day of decent action. Lance will be back for 2010 with an American team. The Time Trial on Thursday should allow Lance to get a minute or so back and then the real test is on Stage 20 with that final monster climb.
