OH yea, nothing like hitting the road at 40 to 50km/h and sliding on your side and back and removing your skin, then bouncing a few times to snap a few bones just for a grand finali.

Not that I have ever done that, just heard it hurts like hell and can cause you to pass out from the pain.

It's a dangerous, brutal sport; the tdf is crazy. Don't know of a sport or event that harsh for so long.

Lance's latest time trial bike is unreal, integrated cables and brakes, and new air foil design.

For you engineering and design phreaks: http://www.bikeradar.com/news/...ime-trial-bike-22271

If that were true, HRT would be a pharse medical therapy for those with dwindling testosterone. A first year chemistry student, with half a brain, can take a detectable substance and change the carbon strings and then its no longer detectable by any current testing methods. There are chemists that will do this and stay anonymous because they bank off of it so well and do. Not like the idiots of Balco. The one thing lance cannot overcome is the sheer fact that as you get older test naturally becomes lower. The only way to raise it is take external substances or eat hormone laden meats and foods. Excercise helps but minimally.

"According to the European Union’s Scientific Committee on Veterinary Measures Relating to Public Health, the use of six natural and artificial growth hormones in beef production poses a potential risk to human health.iii These six hormones include three which are naturally occurring—Oestradiol, Progesterone and Testosterone—and three which are synthetic—Zeranol, Trenbolone, and Melengestrol." Canadian and American Beef are the worst offenders.

When it comes down to it though I don't really care because if he does use something it simply will be speeding up his recovery process. He still has to do the workouts and eat right and get enough rest. Simply put it is still his hard work that produces the end result.

I think his only source of testosterone is exogenous. It may mean that he is able to regulate his testosterone levels while his competitors rely on only what they have. Just a theory, I am a surgeon not an endocrinologist

There are chemists that will do this for enough money and stay anonymous because they bank off of it so well. Not like the idiots of Balco who for whatever reason decided to conduct business the way they did.

Yea they used to wear these Alien helmets years ago. No more. Still the aero helmets today have no ventilation, so you essentially cook your head like an egg. Not sure that is healthy on a one hour time trial.

Lance showed yesterday why he is so good. Heads up riding to go with the break and gain some valuable time. Wonder how Contador feels about that? Also made me wonder if George Hincapie gave Lance a little nod or something to let him know they were going.

Looking forward to the return of the TTT today.

Getting ready to watch the team time trial. Go Astana! Part of the reason Lance is so great is his situational awareness and brains as demonstrated yesterday. All great athlete have this quality.

I haven't seen the TTT yet but I have followed live updates here at work. Team Astana is a power house, Lance gets yellow jersey number 84. Amazing.

Maybe I spoke to soon. Now I'm reading there is a fraction of a second to determine the yellow jersey and Cancellara may keep it.

The Can Man keeps it, but barely. Lance is in killer shape and his team may just scoop 3 of the top spots.
