My oasis reads 68% my digital and analog read 52%, I called the oasis service line and I was told that there is no way there unit is off by 16%. My question is what are some of the tell tale signs of dryed out cigars

Depending upon how dried out they are, you won't have to guess. They're less spongy when you squeeze then, and they'll sound crunchier as well when you squeeze them, and as they get particularly bad, they lose the oils that contribute to their flavor. It'll taste like smoking dried-up leaves--in fact, that's exactly what they'll be.
Thats the thing my cigars dont taste dry, mabey I need to get a calabration kit for my digital to see how far off it is. I have tryed to do the salt test it comes out diffrent every time

The newer Cigar Oasis units that have build-in hygrometers make me wonder ... how can we know that they read accurately? You can't use a calibration kit with an Oasis, or can you??
I have an Oasis Plus, although it is a model that does not have a hygrometer.

take it from a guy who's had 3 oasis's.. the old oasis. the oaisi XL and now the OASIS XL Plus...
they are great units.. but they are NOTcalibrated
calibrate your hygrometer with a calibration kit (much more precise than the salt test) and see the difference with the OASIS.. (because you can't test the OASIS in the calibration bag)

Interesting, thanks. I just purchased an Oasis XL Plus that gives me the humidity and temp in an LED display.
Question....if my other digital readers are correct and show a reading different than my Oasis, how do I calibrate it to be accurate?

you can't calibrate the OASIS.. so just note the RH difference and compansate for it by either raising or lowering the humidity setting on your OASIS..
so if your OASIS reads 70.5, and your calibrated hygro reads 68, means your OASIS is running 2.5 % over... so if you want to achieve a real 70 %, then set your OASIS at 72.5....
that's what I do, and in general I've noticed for the OASIS to be under by 3 or 4 points.
