Well I am sick of never being able to get my hands on CC bc im a US citizen. I have only smokes 1 cc that I got as a freebee, from the web (not saying were) and I don’t even know if it was freaking legit or not bc I have nothing to compare it to. I have reached a point where I have absolutely decided its time for me to find a freaking way to get some cc. I did a whole bunch of searing on this topic and found quite a bit-well here is me using the knowledge I have gained. I have found at least 3 sites that look legit, but im too much of a freaking wimp and too much of a 'noob where I feel that if I bought something from them I wouldn’t know if it was real or fake.-and again have nothing to compare it to. If anyone can offer any *advice please shoot me an email. My email is in my profile...thanks for listening to me vent.

I don't know whether or not your one CC was a fake, but that spell-checker on your computer is a counterfeit. Big Grin

Seriously, though, you can go to Canada or Mexico and find a LCDH that will be more than happy to exchange your U.S. Greenbacks for some brown beauties. Good luck.

Yeah, I see a couple more Smile but I completely understand your frustration. I too have been doing research on this. A while back, someone posted a link to WSJ or something like that about SCHIP and the impact the proposed taxes would have on the cigar industry. The author mentioned that one consequence would be more people purchasing online and posted a link to like 50 websites. For the life of me, I cannot find that link!! Oh well, I think I need to go to Germany or something and visit a LCDH. Yeah right...

seriously. i mean i have a few prospect sites in mind but cant confirm if they are legit or not.

well i may just have to wait until my honey moon in Italy this summer and smoke my brains out with all the cc i can find. although bringing some back would not be worth the risk!

I wonder if customs would know the difference if someone switched the bands on the cigars to that of a non CC with the same ring guage and used the non-cc box to put them in.

Now, don't get me wrong...I'm not saying someone should ACTUALY try it, but I wonder how customs would know the difference.

This has been mentioned before, but I'm too lazy to use the search function and give you a link to that thread. Bottom line is that even if cigars have bands and packaging that purports to show that they are NCs, if they are suspected to be CCs, they will be confiscated and the burden will be on you to prove that they are not CCs.

Grant, this is what you can do - while on your honey moon in Italy, find a place with nice cigar selection, get friendly with the owner of the place, ask him if he will be willing to take your phone or e-mail orders in the future and send the to you. There is a very good chance that he will because he is not breaking any laws of his country. But you probably will have to take the risk on lost orders until you find somebody else who will guaranty the delivery.

Except the tobacco taxes in Canada dwarf anything the SCHIP bill would do. I've been to plenty of LCDHs in Canada, andyou'll pay dearly for an Cubans there, as well as for Dominican cigars that cost about $5 in the U.S. Triple that figure in Canada.

I gladly dish out the extra dough although Im far from rich for a nice cuban. Id rather pay $15 for I smoke I thoroughly enjoy than pay $7 for a smoke I dont enjoy.
