Finished my first marathon just under 4 hours and damn I am sore. I could barely sleep. I have drank tons of gatorade and water to rehydrate and even gave the wife's midol a shot. Today as a last resort I am hooking myself up to a Lagavulin drip. Mrs. Wolfe will be on top this week Smile

"Cuban seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and Cuba. The wrapper would be from Cuba. The binder leaves would be from Nicaragua. For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. That Cigar, he says with pride, would score 100 points."

Congratulations, I am envious.

Go with the single malt, it tastes bette than midol.

Congratulations. What did your training look like?

Have you signed up for the second yet?

I think a man running a marathon is like a women giving birth. At first they say never again, but two years latter it sounds like a good idea. I told my wife a few moments after crossing the finish line that if I ever mention of doing this again please just kick my sac and remind me of the pain.

So at this point there are no plans whatsoever to do this again....

That's what my sister said after her first marathon. Now she's running ultras.

Good job. Keep up the running.

Good stuff Wolf. Just keep drinking water until your piss is clear, and eat some complex carbs. Having a few Trappist beers will help restore your electrolytes. The Lagavulin will also serve as a good pain killer, but limit that to a few drams.

Cor: Steve, you have proven yourself to be a tremendous whack job.

Sounds like you need a hot tub.

And toast a Lagavulin to the supremacy of Navy football.

I hear ya. I'm sore as hell too!

I skimmed leaves off the pool cover, cut the grass and hauled up/down a 20 foot ladder, cleaning leaves out of the gutters.
Wait...that's not the same thing is it????
