I've already begun thinking about a manifold made from 3/4 pvc pipe that would allow multiple cigars to be "smoked" simultaneously. With the vac split between say 4-5 cigars, the burn would even out and do less damage to the cigars. I could even add a gauge to measure the manifold pressure...

Imagine, 5 8x52 Presidents smoked in say 5-6 minutes. That is over 35 linear inches of cigar smoked! Now if I could just get someone to donate a half dozen Perdomo Galaxia's...

My plan for the manifold will include 90 degree elbows, so sucking the cigar in won't be a factor next time, and slits to allow more air will be less of a concern when the vaccuum is divided over 5 cigars. I could always just put a valve on the manifold to control vaccuum pressure.

It's taken me several minutes to read the metamorphosis of this thread, through all the tears from laughing so hard!!! Big Grin

BinDer, I'm speechless. Your contribution to "science" will never be forgotten! Already thinking of ways to "tweak" the experiment.... I LOVE IT! Well done my man! Wink

I just went downstairs to get some pants out of the dryer. It stinks so bad down there, I want to gag. I don't know what it is, but smoking a cigar with a shop-vac somehow isn't the best way to appreciate the aroma.

This is REALLY funny. The first thing I thought was "I hope he vents the darn thing out a window." Oh well!

For "next time" get some dryer duct and clamp it to the discharge of your vac. vent outside. This is also useful when cleaning up spackle/sheetrock dust, which will permeate your basement for months after you rip out all the sheetrock in your basement if you don't vent to outside. (I know)

Also if you crazy glue screen material in your coke bottle it will keep the stick from getting sucked in!

Looking forward to round 2! LFAO Big Grin

I smoke cigars indoors all the time so I wasn't worried about the smell. But somehow that super fast combustion creates some especially potent stank in the air. It smells like the contents of a cigar ashtray from a 5 man poker night placed in a mayonnaise jar, with remnants of mayonaisse intact and left in a warm place for a week.

Maybe if you get all the kinks worked out you could sell it as a kit.
Or maybe a video. Cigar Smokers gone Wild!

Maybe you could post your address and we could all send you our cigars that we are sorry we ever bought. Kind of a crematorium for dog rockets.

Then we could put them in an urn and place them on the fireplace mantel next to Old Uncle Pete. Wink

Now, here's how my warped mind goes.
Remember that guy who ran the crematorium and wasn't doing his job? They found a couple of hundred bodies out back.
I pictures BinDer getting so many cigars to burn up that he couldn't keep up and being led away in handcuffs as the police founds hundreds of unburned cigars laying soggy and moldy in the woods behind his house.
I think I had better go take a nap.
